I stumbled across this Bass Player magazine article from April 2024 just to listen to John's isolated bass on Killer Queen. I think Real Wizard posted the isolated bass for Bicycle Race a few years back which I adored... so I just had to hear John's bass on Killer Queen.

I kind of wish the raisin sized non-engineer portion of my brain could understand the musical note for note mumbo jumbo of this article, but I will settle for just enjoying listening to John's bass in isolation.

Thats the thing about Deacy's bass playing - it is simply perfect especially his 70's work and in particular The Millionaires Waltz. His bass in that is a song in itself. Its the same with Killer Queen too.
