I haven't seen any other information posted about this John Harris appearance (I did a search), so I thought I'd write about it plus some other stuff.
There's a tour package organized by Music Life for fans in Japan to visit London and Montreux from September 1st to the 9th. Highlights include a visit to Ridge Farm, where John Harris will give a talk, and a tour around London where Peter Hince will give a talk at some point. I don't know how much new information Peter Hince can share at this point, but maybe John Harris will have something? This tour will be a month before his appearance at the international fan convention.
Recently I learned about another tour package for Japanese fans: from November 19th to 25th, photographer Watal Asanuma will play tour guide and take a group of fans to prominent spots around London and beyond, such as Elstree Studios and Kempton Park, to re-create publicity photos of Queen. He'll also take the tour group to Ridge Farm, where fellow photographer Andre Csillag will join in for a talk. Watal Asanuma promises behind-the-scenes stories he has never told before, as well as a large amount of unpublished photos. He'll also be taking photos for the group throughout the trip.
Let's see if anything interesting emerges from either of these tours...
