I'd like to hear the Rainbow concerts (they're technically one release!) before all of the "corrections" were made. I want to know how the band really played TFFMS.

If I had a go at the vaults, one of the first things that I'd look for is the Saginaw 1977 soundboard recording, which is the only known performance of Long Away with Freddie.
I'd also look for any taped soundchecks, as those are our only shot of hearing what The March Of The Black Queen could've sounded in full live.
And then, well, I can't list ALL of the soundboard concerts that I'd like to hear.

I’d put all the (digitised) multitracks into my iMac and breakdown individual instruments and voices. And do some remixes.

Thank you for changing the thread title. that's ok. i think it needed it - as it appeared it could've been misleading.

I'd first check for an index or overview of what's inside, go through it and then grab that.

It will be a long time before we see what we want, if we see it at all.

There is also a desk with a single manilla folder labeled "current projects". In it is a single sheet of A4 paper (white, xerox) on which is written "current paddle ball record: 4 (crossed through) 5".

BrƎИsꓘiSo...would that be a case of "great minds think alike", or "fools rarely differ"? Or simply "will you look at those two, stating the bleeding obvious"?

Or simply "will you look at those two, stating the bleeding obvious"? i'd incline toward the latter although in fairness to "the archivist", my "cigarette packet" line was only relevant circa 2001. to date the 15,000 items recorded are written on 200 cigarette packets, these cigarette packets being "indexed" on the inside of an empty Tissue Box.

I'd put the biggest multitrack tape from the Queen II sessions on a machine and spend the day listening.

It would be for me, Hammersmith 1979, and "Let's Make Love". And the early stuff, like the "Fairy Feller's Master Stroke", the lost live versions.

I’d like to looking for those unreleased tracks and plan a release every 2 year till 2033, so 8 songs with unhearded vocals. The shitty musical industries of today would be scared.
