Brian talked about hype sticker on the top right corner of the plastic wrapping. Not about the plastic wrapping itself. He kept the one off the Miracle box as well. Must admit, I do keep those track listing sheets on the outside of the box, but inside the plastic wrapping. Seems a shame to throw them away.

New video uploaded on their yt channel What moron is running this YouTube channel?? All of the previews for the De Lane Lea remixes are in MONO here. You're doing promotion MUSIC for a BAND. I cannot believe a mistake as huge as setting the promotional audio to mono has happened THREE times. The promotional video for Rock Montreal 2024 was in mono as well. When Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll's new mix got leaked by accident (lmao) it was mono too. Not to mention the YouTube channel keeps using bootlegs and old mixes for its live uploads. ... or getting something as simple as the names of songs completely wrong. And WHAT? I did not know it was 2029.
Queen Productions needs to get its shit together and start running a tighter ship. there's so many more mistakes that I haven't pointed out here. The other stuff is mostly unimportant, but combine that with this QTG blunder? This is the DEBUT sample for this remix, maybe the most important part of the whole video. Is there no quality control at all? This has to be my favourite QPL hiccup in YT ever, and it's not even something that happened recently:

That's more than a bit disingenuous. Brian was very public about his intent to track down the copyright owner and ensure they were paid, which can only hopefully mean both parties came to an agreement about the credit. www.queenvault.com/infoseewhatafool.htmlSeriously, why are you posting on a Queen forum if you just want to smear Queen's members without having been at these kinds of meetings to be privy of what's in the paperwork ? Further proof of Brian remembering the inspiration, from the 2011 Queen II deluxe CD. What edition is this? I have the European 2011 CD (Deluxe) and i don't see this extended version of the text. I checked the US version on discogs and the liner notes are identical to my version. See here: www.discogs.com/release/3830649-Queen-Queen-II. Was there a reissue that includes that text?

With Queen 1 2024 being as Brian said being totally remixed and some of Freddie's vocals being tampered with although I did not hear Brian say that . Who decided to do the new Queen 1 like that ? Would it have been Brian & Roger or the record label or QPL ? I guess from a sales point of view saying that the album is completely remixed is better than just remastered. Would John have been asked for his opinion ?

Everything that goes on sale is previously presented to John. I don't know how decisions are made, whether unanimously or another way.

Brian and Roger have used pitch correction themselves for things like their new vocals on Doing All Right revisited.

They could've still been in the dark, because it's entirely possible that they can't even hear the difference. Most people can't - especially people their age. But now that Brian is aware of it to the point that he turned off comments on an Instagram post, we'll see if it shows up on subsequent box sets.

The artist never got a writing credit and probably never will. Brian just quietly faded that matter out That's more than a bit disingenuous. Yes, Brian was very public about it and then... nothing happened. It was like 10 or more years ago, when he talked about it, at least, and nothing happened. My statement does not contradict yours at all. "which can only hopefully mean both parties came to an agreement about the credit" The artist didnt get the credit to this day. The song is still officially credited to Brian May, what are you talking about?

Sorry, it's factually not true that the turned off Instagram comments. That's probably word that relayed so many times, got twisted and went unchecked. It's so easy to check if he did - and he didn't.

well, after 39 pages pock-marked and bullet-ridden with complaints, we're now only five days away from when the shit and the fan do their thing. whatever, "glitches" appear in this release, i (for one) don't really care too much, i'd rather have the 95% great stuff than nothing (just because 5% "was unacceptable for release").

What i was wondering having heard new snippets of the remastered DLL demo's, didn't they have those back in 2011 for the deluxe treatment of the albums and went with Brian's acetate instead?

This is pure speculation on my part, and of course I don't know which archive is found when, but I believe they had time and energy to dive into the archives during the pandemic (and probably after Brian's house flooding too). That was when anything about the IC show was mentioned anywhere by Brian, and why haven't heard about it before. But I might be wrong!

Any idea how many of Queen 1 2024 Box Sets are going to be released ? Is it a limited edition of say 10,000 /15,000. Any idea how Queens other Box Sets sold , The Miracle , NOTW , Live At The Rainbow ?

As the release day of the Box Set gets nearer I really wish that I could afford to buy it . I have ordered the single disc version but my disability living allowance just won't get me the Box Set. I can't see it coming down in price , last time I looked I think it was £182 on Amazon.

Still few days left to speculate before we get to hear it. I just now realized I haven't seen the running times of songs, so I began wondering how much some of the demos differ from the final takes.. More to the point, the tracklists say things like: The Night Comes Down (De Lane Lea Takes 1 & 2 - with Guide Vocal) Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll (Trident Takes 8 & 9) Son And Daughter (Trident Takes 1 & 2 - with Guide Vocal)
Do you think we're actually getting two different takes of these tracks or does this mean they have changed policy and tell us that what you hear is an amalgam of takes 1 & 2? It would be great if take 1 would breakdown halfway through, they'd exchange a few words and then go on to take 2. That would really give us the fly-on-the-wall experience Brain has mentioned.

It's pretty much impossible to tell at this time, but considering they're all sequential (i.e., takes 1 and 2, not 1 and 4), I'd guess it might be false starts and breakdowns, but that's not more than a slightly educated guess.

I used to like Jools's show but nowadays I've never heard of most of the people on it. That's 'cause you've got old ;-) For me, with very few exceptions, music began to die in 1987 when all that "dance sh*te" came in. Wouldn't have a clue about most modern bands and frankly with what I've heard, you can keep them.

My statement does not contradict yours at all. "which can only hopefully mean both parties came to an agreement about the credit" The artist didnt get the credit to this day. The song is still officially credited to Brian May, what are you talking about? And that may well be because the two songs were deemed by both parties to be different enough, and they agreed that a credit wasn't necessary. If Brian was public about who the songwriter was, it was not just going to go away without actually dealing with it. With respect - I imagine you are not a copyright lawyer, so you should not be making assumptions about how this matter was resolved. And saying Brian "just quietly faded that matter out" is a borderline character assassination, strongly suggesting that he didn't want the matter to be resolved and wanted to steal someone else's writing credit. In the event that you attended the meeting or were otherwise privy to the communication that ensued between both parties, then please feel free to correct us. Otherwise, this forum is not a place to baselessly smear the members of Queen. Take it to your social media.
