I know, at first glance, the name of this thread seems rather odd, but.
Richard was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in August 2016. In October 2016 he became the first ever NHS curator on Twitter - twitter.com/i/events/789385490768080897, but since November 2016 there wasn't any activity in his social network accounts (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
If any of the users in this forum have been in touch with him or his family - could you give us more information please?

Just guessing but the fact that the forum is still running, and as such, someone must be paying the associated hosting costs, suggests he must be still around. I'd have thought some sort of announcement would have been made if he had passed away.

I really hope he is fine. I am really grateful for Queenzone. I am glad I told him that personally.
I was lucky enough to have met him and had a long chat with him while stuck in traffic after the 2006 Vegas gig.

I'd have thought some sort of announcement would have been made if he had passed away. i had an unrelated conversation with Barbara (YV) a week or so ago - about providing evidence re: Gerry's racism. Strange thing was she deleted his account, but it reappeared next day. Anyhow, when i let her know - she said she'd remove it again and contact Richard to ask if there was a reason why an account could reappear. So I suppose Barbara (YV) must be in contact with him? As regards the forum itself: Perhaps I'd got this wrong - but are there any fees to pay? Isn't QZ self-financing - something to do with revenue generation through click-through? i don't know how. |

The domain using expires every 2 years ( whois.domaintools.com/queenzone.org), but for GoDaddy-registered domains - there's option of auto-renew which is free, if you're not choosing additional options as privacy and protection. What about the hosting - Cloudflare also offers free plan with primitive security and performance, so QZ seems to be a completely free site nowadays (especially if you remember tons of those vashikaran and fake IDs spam messages, which can only be removed manually). |

I also hope that Richard is doing well. I met Richard at one of the North American Queen conventions in the early to mid-2000's. I probably was an annoying fanboy, as I had asked so many questions. I recall that I asked how well the Queenzone t-shirts were selling, and he replied that he thought that I was the only one who bought one. I still have that t-shirt and wear it frequently.
For sentimental reasons, I have never washed that t-shirt ... just kidding.
