Hi,
I just want to say that I really love this new Queen forum. I like the look of it and I like the way how people interact with each other. The key here is the quickness of the moderators to get rid of the trolls rapidly contrary to another place. Cheers to the founders!

I'll second that. I like the general appearance, tone of the conversations and especially the lack of trolls. I appreciate that pictures can be included in the body of the posts and that the quote and edit functions are so easily accessed. That was a frustration for me in the past. While I still visit the old QZ, I think this is a major step forward. Thanks!

Thank you both of you. It means a lot. Brenski and us moderators have done all we can to make this a great place with a brilliant community. So far, I reckon we haven't done too bad! 😀

I don't post frequently on Queenzone or here, but read lots... This board is way better than the trolling QZ! Thanks!

I’m a long time lurker of the old board - only ever posted occasionally even years ago.
Thanks for restoring some sense and good conversation
Also - I’m pretty old and not great at streaming/flac/torrent stuff. But I can get on Mega and listen to some of the shares. So thanks for those too.

Hi Folks,
I just wanted to echo the appreciation already voiced by others with regard to the 'new' forum. It really is a breath of fresh air after having endured the ever increasing level of negativity and trolling on the 'other side'. It got to the point 2 or 3 years ago where I stopped posting altogether, whilst I will feel more than comfortable in doing so here. Sincere thanks to all involved in working to pull together what looks to be a great forum.
My love of Queen was ignited at the age of 7 when Seven Seas Of Rhye was released. I was lucky enough to see the band four times with Freddie (Leeds '82, NEC '84, Wembley & Knebworth '86) but sadly just too young to have seen them in '79, which would have been my dream gig (The Crazy Tour in particular). I missed Live Aid but I did attend the FM Tribute concert and numerous Cross/Brian May gigs thereafter. I've been to hundreds of gigs since 1982 but Queen are still up there at the top for me in terms of their performance and production values. They sounded like no one else live, you just can't recreate or capture that sound.
My favourite period of the band on record is 1973 - 1980, up to and including The Game. I have some love for Hot Space, probably because it invokes strong memories of my first Queen live experience and a heady adolescent summer. My favourite albums are probably SHA and NOTW.
Very glad to be here!
Keith.

glad you like the forum.
two questions: > which NEC date? > which wembley date?
there's a chance there that 3 of your 4 were the exact same gigs as 3 of my 5.

I believe that I was there the night before you (?) at the NEC....the 2nd night on Saturday.....and I was at the Friday Wembley date. I have to say that I wasn't prepared for the NEC gig after seeing them at Leeds, it was an absolute cracker. The sound was tremendous, so powerful; that said, we were in the 2nd elevated block back from the stage on the side and I've always favoured that position at the NEC.
