hey everyone! since we all know freddie did't playing any instrument except tambourine till a show in December 9, 1971 that he started playing piano (confrimed by Queenconcerts.com site). he played tambourine with songs like "keep yourself alive" , "Liar" and probably sometimes during the reprise of "Son and Daughter" he do that one time in famous March show of Rainbow Theatre in 1974. so here's part 1 of pics from 1972_ early 1974
it's the earliest known pic freddie with tambourine (taken by Douglas puddifoot in December 20, 1972 in a show in Marquee club) in Imperial college October 26, 1973 in Imperial College in November 2, 1973 Liverpool stadium in November 17, 1973 New Theatre, Oxford in November 20, 1973 Birmingham Town Hall, November 27, 1973 Manchser University in March 20, 1974 there's a video of "Son and Daughter" in March show of Rainbow in 1974 but i can post that because i have some technical problems with my device these pics could be from one of the US tour dates in 1974 a show in oklahoma city in April 19, 1974. i've found these pics from queenconcerts.com Uris Theatre in May 8, 1974

I have a piece of one of Freddie's tambourines from the 1977 gig at Stafford Bingley Hall. I was lifted over the barrier at the front due to being crushed (I was 14 at the time and small) and Freddie threw it down at the end of the show. It's my prized possession.

in Imperial college October 26, 1973 in Imperial College in November 2, 1973 Apparently the dancing guy is William "Jesus" Jellett, well known in the festival/concert scene and at Speaker's Corner in London. Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet said this today on Twitter: "Just heard that ‘Jesus’ William Jellett died today. He was at every gig I ever went to in the 70s, doing his groovy dancing and blessing us all with his happy presence. We’d call his name from the bleachers. He was validation that the artist was worth seeing."
