I notice Brian managed to get himself on Freddies stamp.....
I'm Joking..... I'm joking.... I think Roger was in the background of an old one of Freddie many years ago, so it's only fair.
They look nice though.

I thought 1.63 was a fairly high amount for a stamp, so I went and checked.
As far as I can tell, its just under the cost of a particular price point....or to put it another way, deliberately expensive.
They look quite nice, but I can't see myself bothering. If any non-UKers want some, let me know and I'm happy to get whatever you're after and post it out at cost...

I know exactly what I will do. I will buy them (I've already pre-ordered), then put them away somewhere, and never find them again!

I still have my Lord of the Rings stamps that I got from my sister, when she had been in New Zealand. They aren’t on my wall anymore (I have moved a couple of times since then), but I know, where they are. I‘m going to do the same with these little beauties.

I've got a sheet of the previous Freddie ones. They sit in a drawer, which is how I know I shouldn't buy these.

They look marvellous. But the souvenir sheets are still a wee bit pricey.
I remember there was a bit of a hoo-haw when the Freddie Mercury stamp came out 20 years ago, when a tiny Roger Taylor was seen in the stamp. Apparently he was the first "not dead, not royalty" person ever on a British stamp.
So I guess the rules have since changed?

Yes, the rules were changed.
It's a bit surprising that the Freddie pic isn't from Live Aid, but I imagine that's a permissions issue

19 pence for a first class stamp! 20 years later they are charging £1:64 for these ones.
