He's also done a full electric version of It's Late, which is just as, if not even more awesome! Not sure about the rest of the stuff on this album, but I will give it a listen some time: Wow - just incredible.
His takes on New Born by Muse and La Villa Strangiato by Rush are just note perfect and sonically faithful to the originals. His understanding of the music is so far beyond the chops required to play them well. And the sheer breadth of what he covers is mighty impressive.
Sometimes I prefer covers to be far removed from the originals, to see what stamp an artist can put on a song. But some things are just so challenging and rarely taken on that succeeding is enough of a feat in itself. Tyler is a legend.
It seems almost impossible to believe that somebody can play so many instruments so perfectly, and have a great singing voice as well. I hope he goes far, because a talent like that deserves to be heard. |

He's got a niche following, and will never have trouble getting the best cover/tribute band gigs - most of which are in the best 1% of pay days in the industry.

Tyler is so much more than a musician doing cover versions.
He has an amazing talent of being able to understand and replicate the style of playing of each instrument. He nails the individual nuances the sum total of which inform a band's sound. So many musicians who play covers lack that ability, and he manages it on multiple instruments.

He's already done Tenement Funster.
And the rendition of It's Late is just ridiculous. Most rock singers can only dream of such a soaring tenor.
