I think the early stuff is probably gone for good sadly, The search function of QZ hasn't ever been the best and for some reason pages before 2009 set off my antivirus alert.

Is John S Stuart around still? He had some sensational posts and information- if he’s telling the truth he sits on some stuff QP do not, but wish they did.. Sadly John passed away just over a year ago. Didn’t know that. Sad to hear  Hopefully his collection is in good hands, and that whoever it is knows what they are sitting on and don’t throw it away |

Nice than John S Stuart`s rare Queen stuff list is secure. There is a lot of things that are still unavailable and probably will never see the light of day. It`s nice to see what could be available and dream of what might have(could still be...please Bri)been.

RIP Queenzone. I was regular reader since the early 2000's, and became a semi-regular poster around the time when QPR started (I think - so cca 2005/2006? Is there a way how to find out precisely?) so I will definitely miss the "good old times", but let's be perfectly honest - the site was overtaken by bots a long time ago. Hopefully this place won't deteriorate one day too.

Yes Anton settled down in the later years, I think it helped when his friend joined and translated things for him, it stopped the paranoia that we were all hiding things from him because he was Russian, he probably grew up too. And yes Treasure Moment, you had the arrogant talent-less one who actually thought he was the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury... and the slightly less arrogant brother he blamed everything wrong with their music on. Whoever parodied those two with that treasured memento account was a genius, I suspected Zebonka was doing it at the time. |

It is a shame it went the way it did, there were many great discussions, excellent documents made by fans and, of course, many awesome shares.
A number of people here have already archived the best shares and linked them here, and it would be lovely to see the fantastic documents of JSS (and Fatty's diaries) preserved here. As many have said, John is very sorely missed. I still cannot believe it, tbh. Great guy, and an absolute authority on the band - his work must be preserved and passed on for the benefit of all fans, new and old.

It really was just a matter of time til this happened. The site's been on its last legs for a few years now. Still sad to see it go.
However, it still has countless threads of valuable information - it would be devastating if it was all lost! Hopefully we can get the whole thing backed up.

I started visiting QZ in 2014, became a regular member in 2016, so I assume I was too late for the best years of that forum. This place is much better than QZ ever was during that period, so I'm not sad to be honest. I met some nice and wonderful people (in contact with few of them on regular basis), learnt a lot, spent a lot of time on a valuable discussion, discovered the world of bootlegs, and I'm grateful for all that. Now, this place is all I need. I hope this forum will continue to grow for the years to come.

I was on QueenZone from 2003 - 2010ish. I can remember bits and pieces of my time there -- Treasure Moment (yuck), the tense moments with "Queen Archivist" (GB), and of course the wonderful members that taught me so much about my favorite band, which of course includes John S. Stuart. At the time, I was a teenager still finding himself and Queen was so new to me. Made some friends, in particular a certain lady friend. But eventually I grew tired of it all and settled with QueenOnline...but that place lacks foot traffic. Super thankful this place exists now! It really is everything I would want from a Queen forum. Like I said before, QueenZone had its day. Sad to see how it all spiraled out of control, but it had a good run, didn't it?

What is the shame is that all the formation there, some that can’t be found anywhere else, will be gone.
Even if the boards aren’t working anymore, it should at least be kept up to search through.

There are plenty of instances of me calling him Freddie. It's not a world-class discovery. I also called him Fred, Lord Teeth and Mr Mercury. I also referred to Brian as Bri and Roger as Rog more than once. My (now thankfully defunct) website often referred to them by hypocoristic forms. I'm not physically incapable of saying Chuck instead of Charles, Dave instead of David or Liz instead of Elizabeth, I just happen to prefer the long forms.

On facebook, I used to chat away with the late Jon Mills (Joxer on Queenzone) and we used to refer to Brian and Roger as The Doctor and The Dentist..... It was all meant in good fun  .
