These are the original .mov videos recorded by me with my old (2007) Nikon Coolpix Camera. I know, the reharsals weren't in Houston (so the name of the file is wrong). Hope you'll like them. Of course these videos are not great concerning the audio because you could only hear them through headphones (there were dozens of tv screens each with different videos playing) drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PgSbw36OOPcgOOh54zcsOIRHWxqX429N?usp=sharing

It would be interesting if someone had more recordings of the Rainbow first night footage in the exhibition because someone claims that the compilation titled "UNSEEN ARCHIVE FOOTAGE" had the Rainbow footage, the Japan '75 footage and the high quality source of Hyde Park '76

0:28 - 1:03 Freddie's voice sounds more natural here than on the 2014 release.

Here's a link to my unaltered footage, along with a few photos that I took at the exhibition: we.tl/t-0Yq5KU4KKRIf I remember rightly, the TV screens were showing on a loop the "mini-documentary" for the particular section of the exhibition, and the laptops had the new "deluxe" remasters + bonus tracks for listening (they hadn't been released at that point). The extra archive footage, such as the first night at The Rainbow and the Japanese Queen II documentary, was also playable on the laptops although these weren't working on at least the first day. I think that all of the footage on the laptops displayed the "unseen archive footage" caption. I visited the exhibition a second time towards the end of its residency, and was able to record the Japanese documentary in full (with the headphones draped over my camera, so I couldn't hear!) along with footage of Flick of the Wrist from the Rainbow concert. I couldn't record audio alongside since I wanted to listen, and the second pair of headphones was in use. I did watch the full Rainbow concert, but I'm afraid I can't recall many particular details at this point. The audio was very raw and unpolished, with the bass being very high and "twangy" in the mix. The video appeared heavily red-tinted in the shadows, though this seems to have been fixable for the official release. I believe the backstage footage preceded the video of this first night. I also can't remember what else was available to view on the other laptops, although I suspect that Hammersmith '75 and one of the nights at Earl's Court were among them - not sure about Hyde Park. I sent an email to The Real Wizard at the time, describing the Rainbow footage. If he's still got a copy, that might shed further light on things!

(*) Leonardo Pelz footage (.) Kurgan footage (-) MOJA footage and SonnyBuny (=) Ginga Ninja footage (#) Rdoyle45 footage (+) GioMercury footage (@) Official Footage
- Intro (*/-) - Pre-Queen-1969 Early Queen-1971 (*) - Queen II (*/.) - Seven Seas Of Rhye Montage (* or @) - Sheer Heart Attack (*/.) - Queen Live (*/+/@)
- Credits
Extra: - Queen Live Japan 1975 (#) - Queen Live Rainbow (=) - Seven Seas of Rhye Montage recording (*) Examples: (also credit to my friend who help me to stabilize the Queen II documentary) Here's the footage of Now I'm Here from the first night at the Rainbow. It has some backstage footage which is seen in much better quality in the From Rags To Rhapsody documentary so I positioned it into there, it doesn't look great as the person who filmed it at the exhibition couldn't keep the camera still... drive.google.com/file/d/1kCPwYzYXhUVzbCJymMnszW-UIa0ThC0V/view?usp=sharing

That's some collection! Would it be stupid to wonder if 6' 0" was the price of Earth? Six shillings? Well it's not stupid, but I don't think it's likely. Firstly, the convention for expressing 6 shillings was just 6' i thought. Secondly, that's v likely to be Brian's personal copy, and I doubt he had to pay for it!

Contract for gig at College of Estate Management in Nov 1970 - cheques to Brian, please "1h 15 min minimum"? In 1970? That's a very long performance.

It was likely a double performance, it says it's between 5:15 and 11:15pm, that's over a 6 hour period, so most likely they did 45 minutes, took a break, then another 45 minutes (or however the math adds up, it's too early for me to do things like that now).
