Luckily, there is a known date for Queen’s first rehearsal, which is April 28th, 1970. Where'd that come from? Roger's diaries ??

The place I got it from was called Queen Diary so close enough. Diary.Queensongs.info

But Queen weren't in a studio in 1983 before August, right? Queen weren't joined at the hip (much less in those days), so it's perfectly possible for a band member to go to the studios without his colleagues and be photographed playing a synth whilst there. By the way, John and Roger did go to Mountain Studios in early 1983 (the Fan Club magazine confirms that) and they did record some ideas there (without Brian or Frederick), which were unlikely to end up on any album, but still... Oh, and, by the way, the black and white photograph of John playing piano and smiling is from that early 1983 visit to Mountain Studios with Roger. And, yeah, his hair was already bigger than in the Jupiter 8 photo, so your 1982 theory is most likely correct. I just found the very same photo we're talking about (of John behind the keyboard) in the Fan Club magazine, Spring 1983. Anyone knows when it was published?

Here is Brian with 1984 in what I could presume to be as 1966. This looks like it was taken from a 1990s documentary, but I’m not too sure.

The place I got it from was called Queen Diary so close enough. Diary.Queensongs.info "28 April 1970: The newly formed band called Queen started rehearsals at Imperial College, London, UK."
And now that we've seen this diary entry from Roger (from May 27), I'd say we need another source to corroborate that.

Super rare pic of Brian with his band members from the reunion of his first band "1984" in 1990. sorry if the pic is very small cause that's the only exist pic
it's from 1966 i think I think you can compare the pics. Brian is in right and other members was exactly standing on the same position they was in 1966 photo that's the most interesting i've ever seen they're do the same photo taking after all of this years

Probably just a coincidence. And of course Tim isn't in the 1990 one.
Nice that they got together, though.

Meeting Andy Warhol in 1982. Look what Deacon's wearing, dressed like a hillbilly to meet a giant like that - could he be any more clueless ?
But the rest of them aren't looking much better. Fashion was not their strong suit in the early 80s, that's for sure.

This kinda reminds of that picture of Pink Floyd where most of the band's wearing one of those dinner jackets while Roger Waters was wearing a John Denver shirt, and looking wasted. I believe that was on Gilmour's wedding reception? One thing I can say about Brian though is that he sure knows how to dress formal. ....eh, most of the time

Look meticulous to both pictures Brian was at far right in both pics And his hand was on shoulders of the other band member near him and that guy holding his own hands down exactly in both pictures and the other person near him is holding the drum sticks exactly in both pics and then the last member I think he was the bassist holding the bass like the 1966 pic and then looking to their faces they're almost the same members. Except Tim that he's not in 90s pic.

I‘m sorry, I don‘t get it. Why should they be dressed formally? It looks like the giant Andy Warhol just wanted to take a picture of some other giants. He was a pop artist, by the way. I‘m pretty sure he was fine with their clothes ^^

I think it is New York in 1974, and take a look at the Freddie's jacket, the same from Queen II cover.

There are photos from at least three of the nights now, but it's uncertain which shots are from which night.
But they are all marvellous. It took a couple years for him to have them digitized and send them to me, but Greg Jewers is an absolute champ for being true to his word. They were worth the wait.

It would be cool to know what happened with those especially considering that the plexi and other types of photos were released in a book form and those are quite expensive!

These shots looks very similar to the ones that are attributed Oxford ‘73, so you might be right about ‘73. I’m certain these are Oxford.

I mean, that’s what Queenconcerts.com is showing, but they did put an obvious 1977 show in the 1975 category. So, I’m not sure, almost everything else is accurate though, I think. You never know. But it does look like it could potentially be 1973.

Especially with a band like Queen who wore the same outfits dozens of times, we'd need to dig a bit deeper to corroborate this one.

I say we make a thread of unknown pics of Queen and making a detective team to solving the dates of unknown pics of Queen career. Me and Queenfanatic solved some great shots of Queen in Oxford New theatre in 1973 and some pics from friars club show in 1974

Isn't it Sunbury 1974? I remember there was that website with a Queen pro pics from this infamous concert. I even contacted you about them a few years back Unfortunately that website seems to be taken down. I try to click on the link from your website (where you refer to those pics) and it doesn't work anymore: queenlive.ca/queen/74-01-27.htmI don't know why I didn't save those Sunbury pics when they were available. But I remember they looked like that - black&white and Freddie wore the same outfit, which might be my favourite outfit of him by the way. This is the thread from 2016 that I remember about those pics, just after they emerged: www.queenzone.com/forums/1456105/sunbury-australia-1974-photos-surfaced.aspx
