And to cap off this haul of photos from the internet deep dive, here's a pic of Brian in 1990 flipping the bird to the paparazzi. Atta boy, Bri.
Thanks for posting all these fabulous shots - especially the 70s ones.

This one might be from one of the New York shows, or St. Louis (April 18th, 1974) not sure exactly when it was taken yet. Brian has his white suit going on which only occurred during those two shows, that we know of. Great shot. But you're right, it could be from pretty well any date on the tour.
This one from St Louis is a rare shot of Brian's spare Strat lurking in the background awaiting battle.

It looks like a mannequin under that blanket, but it’s probably spare drum equipment or something.

Really love this photo of Freddie at work.
Love that shot. Here's another one taken by Brian on the same day - anyone got a nice hi res version of it?
I love these behind the scenes photos. Brian must have taken a lot. Where are these from?

I love these behind the scenes photos. Brian must have taken a lot. Where are these from? The first one was in his Queen in 3D book, and the second one has been seen in a couple documentaries and probably elsewhere too. Indeed, Brian was a keen photographer - and largely in stereo, as we see in the book. While most rock stars spent their days off hungover in the hotel room or shagging groupies, Brian was usually out scouring second hand shops for stereo cards. He has one of the finest collections of stereo cards in the world.

I love that documentary. Obviously he's not world famous for it, but this has been a major cornerstone of his life for 50 years. He was even friends with this guy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_NaylorNaylor was one of the world's top photograph collectors, who also invented a car thermostat in the 1970s that worked at higher temperatures (which is still used in every car to this day). This is the kind of company Brian keeps. But for every Jack Naylor there are another hundred of these guys he's friends with that aren't famous. There is so much more to Brian than the stuff he shares with the public. Most of us cannot possibly fathom how rich and colourful his life has been. And because he's famous, he's able to use that platform to popularize his various passions. He really is one in a billion.

"I want to pay a little tribute to a man who ignited a passion in many of us, many years ago. Not for music, or even astronomy, but for photographic collecting. All through those touring days with Queen, during the 70's and 80's, the first thing I would do when we landed in a new (usually American) city, Chicago, Boston, Kansas, Cleveland, would be to make contact with my friends in the photographic world. One of my greatest pleasures was to visit these people and look at images, and usually they would have a few gorgeous stereo cards to sell me. They all knew what I collected ... the earliest English and French cards, often hand-coloured, which still occupy a large part of my life. Well, one day, when Queen were in Boston, to play the fabulous Boston Garden, of course (sold out! ha ha!), I was invited by Thurman Naylor, perhaps the most celebrated photographic collector in the world, to see his collection. It was amazing - I think I was quite overcome by the extent of it ... like a huge Aladdin's cave of fabulous precious antique cameras, and vintage images. Just recently he sold off many of his treasures, at a huge dedicated auction in New York, and soon afterwards he sadly passed away. He will be sadly missed by all those whom he inspired. What I had forgotten, until I received a wonderful message from his grandson today [31 Dec], was that he had on that day taken a picture of me. Here I am, a very serious young man, staring out from this fabulous collection, in more ways than one ... I did not realise I had had the honour to become part of Jack's collection."

I would sit through a full documentary on 3d photography hosted by him, he has so much passion in the subject that it actually makes in interesting to listen to, it draws you right in, Like mad old Patrick Moore and space.
No Queen connection, no selling books, No guitars just him telling us the history of the Stereoscope.

The Innuendo group photo has always been my favourite. Couldn't find a high-res version of the original, but this one is great as well. Sharp-dressed men. They look stunning as a group (quite serious, but seeing the circumstances, not that odd...)

Although I'm not sure, I found a much higher resolution version. Brian seems to be wearing some sort of tour jacket. Perhaps this could help get a rough date? It's definitely sometime from mid 81 to late 82 just judging by John's hair.

Queen performing live in Truro at the Tregye Country Club on August 21st, 1971. Sorry for the bad quality. Note: You can see that Brian has a Stratocaster in this picture. That's not Queen. That's Graphite, another band that attended that festival.

My apologies, they look almost completely similar to Queen. Could be just the horrid quality messing my perception up.
