It may be the lighting, but the kick drum skin appears to be blank.

Europe 1977 It's from one of the UK shows (likely Liverpool or Earls Court, as per Deacon's attire). We've seen photos of all the European gigs, and Mercury was always in the black leotard.

This one was labelled as Birmingham, April 2nd 1974. Indeed, who knows - there seems to be a race to make up dates for the undated early photos, just so that people can look like they know more than they do.
Unless it's from the photographer or they come in a set, I set my default to suspicious.
