queenlizzyfan1973 reply #1 The photo was taken by Brian May during the making of the first album, so it should be 1972. It can be seen in 'Queen in 3-D' book on page 28 and 29, and also at the back cover of the first album.

1976/?/?
here's a very famous pic of Brian playing harp. For a very long time I've had this idea that the pic was taken during the "Love Of My Life" recording session in 1975, but there's nothing to confirm that Brian had a beard in 1975 and according to his "Queen In 3D" book it was taken circa 1976, I also remember he said they would grow beards while they were in studio so can this pic be from one of the "ADATR" recording sessions? Any idea?

queenlizzyfan1973 - "Man From Manhattan" was recorded at Sarm Studios in August 1975 and released as a single in March 1976. So, the photos were taken in August 1975 during the recording sessions of "A Night At The Opera".

queenlizzyfan1973 The photo of Freddie and Peter Straker you posted in the reply 11 was taken in 1977 during the recording sessions of "This One's On Me" album; it could be taken at Sarm Studios or at Wessex Studios in London, where the album was recorded and produced by Mercury and Roy Thomas Baker.

Location: Unknown. Date: 1975. Photographer: Unknown. As always, I have no information since I found it in a Queenzone archive without context. I made the assumption that it was in the studio since there is a bunch of tape behind them. Any information would be appreciated.

I made the assumption that it was in the studio since there is a bunch of tape behind them. Any information would be appreciated. Many years, ago, I had a magazine about Queen, there was this picture, it was stated that was taken during the ANTO recordings (prophet's song), the reel tapes were placed around in order to create the repeative effect - delay during Freddie's improvisation. Since this info comes from a magazine (maybe Classic Rock 2005) , it is not 100% sure, if it is correct and not used the photo for the purpose of their issue.

It's from "Sheer Heart Attack" recording session in 1974 at Trident Studio, there's also a footage of Brain, Freddie and Roger during the "Killer Queen" backing vocals recording with the very same outfits so It's surely 1974

Anyone got this shot without the AI "improvements" or the heinous watermark in the middle ?
...it looks like it's from a magazine or book, as the corner of another image is superimposed on top of it.
It's gotta be out there, as this poorer copy exists (where someone has attempted to Photoshop the corner):

It was taken by Peter Hince.
Here's a better scan. Is this Mountain or Super Bear, though ?

1975-09-11, Scorpio Sound -- A Night at the Opera recording sessions Photos by Watal Asanuma Finally we know the exact date of these very important photos. You're right, most of them were uploaded before, but those I quoted are new. Needless to say, most of these photos, which we already knew, are in a better quality than ever before.

I was curious if there is any photos or even footage from these sessions? From what I can tell they are about as obscure as the Queen I sessions. Anyways, this is my first time making a thread so here ya go!
