Great news! Please add June 4th to the thread title.
We rarely get these events anymore and each one may be the last of their kind. I think making dates as visible as possible helps everyone enjoy themselves.

I wonder if they’re gonna send him up to space to play God Save the Queen.

So, what do we reckon the set list will be? Hopefully something slightly more interesting than the Live Aid set again. Of course, we don't know how long they've got, but my guess is they'll kick off with Don't Stop Me Now.

I wouldn’t have thought it’ll be a long set due to the plethora of acts on the bill. It’s good to see them there though, and I’m quite looking forward to it

Of course they'll just play the biggest hits, as it's for the general public.
These guys are in their 70s - it's amazing they're doing this at all. I look forward to seeing it.

Brian May: "There was a moment when I wondered, after Buckingham Palace roof where can you go? Well… you will see!"
well now we know where: a specially constructed stage in front of the Palace - at the end of the Mall.

Headlining the show is pretty meaningless usually these are 10 to 15 minute sets, a mix of old and new acts with Paul McCartney ending the show on stage with everyone doing Hey Jude.
I would put money on Rod Stewart, Cliff Richard, Elton John, Tom Jones and Stevie wonder all having sets, the usual suspects.
I do wonder who will play on top of the palace, Golden was Brian, Diamond was Madness....

…. Speaking for Queen + Adam Lambert, Brian May says: “Twenty years after playing The Queen’s glorious Golden Jubilee we’re very happy to be invited again. Then there was a moment when I wondered… after Buckingham Palace roof where can you go? Well … you will see!” line up: www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2022/line-up-bbc-platinum-party-palace

Just read the description of the staging for this event.
Stufish are a great stage design company, but, when designing for big outdoor productions, their staging becomes more about the production and less about featuring what’s actually happening on stage.
Using Buckingham palace as an actual back drop/screen is going to look stunning, but who ever is on that stage is going to look very overshadowed.

Was a decent little set. WWRY / DSME / WATC. The Queen tapping along on her teacup to WWRY was perfect. Well played lads. And you, ma'am.

I just assume some backstage schmoozing will lead to some more FIVE / Wyclef / Dappy style misjudged collaborations
