I just want to say that while all criticism re: QAL's music is absolutely valid there is just no need to comment negatively on someone's physical appearance or body shape/weight.

I quite enjoyed it , not all of it but I’m the main I did . Agree Rod wasn’t great , neither was Donna Summer but Alicia Keys was amazing as was our man Sam and I thought Queen were good too . I wasn’t watching picking holes in them. Strange seeing Duran Duran performing as in my mind I still visualize them from my younger days when they were young. I also love that Elbow song , one of my favs , I never tire of it . Maybe the war raging on in Ukraine was at the back of their minds . I know I woke this morning feeling almost guilty for the UK to be having a celebration when Ukraine are being bombed to bits . It’s a crazy time . Donna Summer had a bit of a disadvantage. She's been dead for 10 years! 😁 |

Yes Brian messed up a couple of times and Adam is getting fatter which he tries to hide with a big jacket on. They were not as bad as Rod Stewart who looked totally a spent force and just tried to get through it . Dianna Ross was not singing live, most of the Royal Family looked on trying to make out as though they were having a good time waving their little flags. It was a tepid affair. It's the sentiment that counts though, isn't it? Many of us are not likely to see another Jubilee, and there is not going to be another Queen (as in female monarch) in the UK for generations. They could have filled the occasion with younger, modern acts, but I think choosing to have older performers merits some commendation, even if some of them may no longer be at their peaks. |

I think the BBC may have made a few demands that hurt things.... Rod openly stated the BBC made him do Sweet Caroline, clearly knowing he hasn't got the voice to pull the song off. I bet he wasn't the only one they interfered with.
Look at the other Jubilee concerts, an active effort was made to have one or two big artists from every decade of The Queen's reign appear, and they interacted with each other quiet a bit, especially towards the finales.
Here there was what... stretching it I'd say, A big name from the 60's (Ross), 2 and a half acts the 70's (Rod, Elton, 2 members of Queen), an 80's band (Duran Duran) and a whole bunch of bands and artists from the last 10 years.
The "Look back" was provided by Diversity doing dance trends rather than getting actual artists.

Lambert having gained quite a bit of weight is as obvious as Roger having grey beard, and Brian having less hair than before.

This one is a really interesting split screen video of WWRY. Here you can see, how far Adam actually had to walk from the castle gate to the stage, where the rest of the band had been waiting and playing.
