The Queen tapping along on her teacup to WWRY was perfect. CGI. But the bear was real, right?

Wasn't really "Live Aid" was it !? Brian popping up at the back of the stage was a bit underwhelming to do his solo at the end of WWRY. Oh well it's for a good cause.

They interviewed the three of them on BBC before going on. Brian and particularly Roger are starting to look REALLY old.
I know they are really old but it's still sad to see your heroes start to decline. In fact that was one of the main reasons I went to see them on this tour, it could be the last time I see Brian/Roger live.

Are they using those Freddie samples in WWRY all the time these days or just for this event? The "alright", "sing it" etc.

I had to rewind it but there was definitely a Freddie "sing it" in there, during the last chorus before the guitar.

But never before have I heard the Freddie shouts in a QAL chorus. Maybe it’s new for this tour. Or just for tonight.

Just watching it properly now - is it me or has Adam put on weight? I noticed that on those pictures of the first show on the European tour, looks like someone enjoyed his 2-year vacation! EDIT: Looking back, this was a very rude comment on his weight, and I am sorry for it. I will do better and try to be more empathetic towards others

During the backstage interview at #partyatthepalace the #Queens announced the release of a previously unreleased song in September featuring vocals from #FreddieMercury from The Miracle sessions. The boxset was not specifically cited, but the song could be part of it.

I saw bits of it, very underwhelming in comparison to the golden and diamond concerts.
Rod Stewart clearly knew he wasn't suited for singing Neil Diamond, he prefaced the song with a "The BBC MADE ME SING THIS" before butchering it.

Someone later on mentioned seeing Freddie Mercury on the big screen, which was not shown on the live broadcast (unless I blinked and missed it). So I think there were some Freddie interjections (visual and vocal) built into WWRY for this particular event.

There was a Freddie 'sing it', 'louder!' and 'alright!' before the solo: we.tl/t-5WkVJgtGnWRE comments about them looking old, I thought Brian was really enjoying himself which was great. I don't think I remember him smiling so much. Good on him. EDIT: Is it OK to share the complete web rip of is that deemed official?

I just wanted to be the person who shared the ridiculous credit of "1. Intro - We Will Rock You (Featuring Paddington Bear (Ben Whishaw), Simon Farnaby, the drummers of the Royal Military Band and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on spoon and teacup)"

Roger talked about a jam session recorded during the recording sessions of 'The Miracle'; they found it, remastered it and the track will be released in September 2022. Here's the link for the interview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-R7HtDlx0A&ab_channel=Riaaanna

He nailed his guitar solo, unlike the Doc in DSMN! I have a feeling Ryder could surprise us with his future output.

I don’t necessarily agree as Sam’s voice is of a higher range and missing that gravelly growl , if you know what I mean lol ) Sam seems such a really nice genuine guy so I hope he gives us good future output .

Regarding the guitar, I wasn’t sure if he was really playing it but I just googled and he learned to play at age 19 after watching a Band ‘Lordi’ in Eurovision.

Yes Brian messed up a couple of times and Adam is getting fatter which he tries to hide with a big jacket on. They were not as bad as Rod Stewart who looked totally a spent force and just tried to get through it . Dianna Ross was not singing live, most of the Royal Family looked on trying to make out as though they were having a good time waving their little flags. It was a tepid affair.

I quite enjoyed it , not all of it but I’m the main I did . Agree Rod wasn’t great , neither was Donna Summer but Alicia Keys was amazing as was our man Sam and I thought Queen were good too . I wasn’t watching picking holes in them. Strange seeing Duran Duran performing as in my mind I still visualize them from my younger days when they were young. I also love that Elbow song , one of my favs , I never tire of it .
Maybe the war raging on in Ukraine was at the back of their minds . I know I woke this morning feeling almost guilty for the UK to be having a celebration when Ukraine are being bombed to bits . It’s a crazy time .
