I've split the thread and merged a couple of the other stray threads into the appropriate locations.

Wooo!
I think it's a step in the right direction, because thread titles are like headlines. As soon as Outsider and BTTL reissue got official release dates they should have been on display somehow, if only for people to not miss the news among the rest of the posts. It builds excitement as well, which in turn brings more users in.
My two cents.

We'll bear that in mind if anything else worthwhile ever gets released!

I think the mods / admin should self-impose the habit of NOT continuing to post in threads that are locked to the rest of us.
I understand you can, I don't think you should.
For example, the Brian "gendered" award thread.

I respectfully agree. There's probably no good reason to bring up a locked, controversial thread.
There's a chance it wasn't done on purpose. Either way, it could be a good idea to hide it or even delete it if nothing of value would be lost.

Forum staff don't usually continue discussions after threads have been locked, and would only comment to further clarify the reason for locking a thread, if necessary.
Given the comment wasn't really related to the main topic of the thread, I would suggest that perhaps in this case, the fact that the thread was locked was overlooked.

Please. Separate category for AI Freddie covers. They've clogged up the forum at an exponential rate.

I agree! AI mixes are a whole new category, as they allow for versions we couldn't think of before. They've been around for a year or two already.

Me again.
Is there a case for having a single thread for random celebs that have died?
Many of them don't go past the first post, and the relevant section reads like that bit of the Oscars that we should watch but don't....
If a particular event triggers some sort of discussion of the individual, then the posts could be separated out into a distinct thread.
(I can appreciate the counter argument, that people post what they like and replies or lack of them is just how forums work, so deal with it, PG...)

We could call it 'Thank You And Goodnight', but it would be quite a bit of work to move and combine all the existing separate threads into one continuous thread. Maybe something for the back burner?

Maybe as a go forward, as I agree about the past.
I had the same thought on title, we both read Classic Rock, clearly...

I've merged all deaths into one thread. If I've missed any, post the link below.
BTW - I think that - had this forum existed prior to 2016, then that year alone would've doubled the work involved!
