What's the betting TMLWKY will be the 'unreleased' track, forgetting it was on Made In Heaven? š
Forgive my cynicism. I've said all this before, but for me, The Miracle is a mediocre album (compared to their best), and I just can't get excited about this until there's definitely something confirmed to get excited about.
If they were going to release some of the demos, would these not require some studio work, possibly involving Brian and Roger, and if this was the case, would they have managed to keep it secret up to now?

Why do I have a feeling that it will be just like a BM box set..........all the b-sides, extended versions, and nothing new(demos/retakes/etc)....

www.queenonline.com/news/22-3-89This is a very cryptic meessage on Queenonline and theri social media platforms, throught provoking could we finally see this boxset, mentioned a couple of years ago but obviously shelved. We are certainly overdue a Queen release as Bohemian Rhapsody sountrack was the last one, back in 2018. Not everyone's cup of tea, personally I have fond memories of this album when it was released, all those years back and this sounds intersting, to me at least.

there's already a thread for this subject, please refrain from creating duplicates - all it serves to do is dilute a conversation.

My understanding - and I'm happy to be corrected here - is that the MiH version simply took the vocal, with the backing being newly recorded. In other words THIS Miracles sessions version could be 'unreleased' if it has the ORIGINAL backing???

Thereās a promo cassette for Capitol of all the songs in order, and Too Much Love is the exact same version as was eventually released. That being said, thereās that two minute alternative vocal/performance that ended up on another promo cassette, and is the well-known ādemoā version. If they were to reinstate the song for this alleged box set, I would hope they would use a polished alternate take, butā¦ I aināt got no hope thatāll happen.

Did anyone notice that the image is called "Miracle_tease.jpg" ? That's something that I already wanted to point at, but you were faster! Anyway, I like The Miracle for some kind of strange feeling...it flows well for me, it works coherently which is something that I also like on Hot Space. It doesn't contain many standalone-hits, the sound is sometimes too dated because of using machines not real instruments,... But I listen to it more frequently than in most of the points better albums countin ANATO or TG. Similar to RT's Outsider for me, not his best but not fragmented piece of work.
BM and RT probalbly aren't concerned because it's an old stuff and they are enjoyng they everyday life and aren't bothering wih things that might please fans.

The NOTW boxset was good I donāt see how QPL would want to give us a subpar product. Unlike Brianās boxset this would have a lot more people dictating how it would be put together. Roger being one of them when he released the lot it included everything even some of the smallest things he ever released. I see no reason why QPL wonāt do that here knowing the Miracle had a lot of outtakes and cuts.

The Lot included 5 unreleased tracks/outtakes (1988 session + extended version), 2 of them were badly edited, btw. For 12 CD disc set it's almost nothing. The Lot is the weakest production quality release. I don't think it's correct to equate unreleased outtakes to digital debut of well-known single tracks. Especially when The Miracle era extras were all released on CD straight away.

If it has Face it alone takes 3-4 which are more completed than the leaked demo in 2011, or any better take along with a new life is born, IGWAFO, affairs, it will be very good.
On the other hand on NOTW boxset they didn't include Silver salmon and in the last time white Christmas was moved out from the DVD doc.
So low expectations.

I alway thought that they don't want to release demos, because they could finish it sometime in the future like for MIH or Queen Forever, but nowadays I guess they simply doesn't want to release "weak" performances or bad sound quality recodrings... strangely they don't mind some awful remixes (GHIII is something I am talking about..)

Mix your feelings with News Of The World Box Set + Brian May Back To The Light re-release...This gonna be how you will feel they they announce the details of this new box.
After so many times (and years) suffering QPL...Do you really have any hope?

Miracle was the album that introduced me to Queen. Despite having all leaked demos, I'd love to see the box's contents. š

Genuine question: people* seem upset that the News of the World box was disappointing. Apart from the lack of a live show (which, Iāll say, was profoundly stupid) and the barebones liner notes (par for the course), were the contents that bad? I mean, an entire disc of alternate takes and mixes, where everything was different enough to be a unique listen, is nothing to sneeze at, and the third disc was kind of a dumping ground of miscellania, but if each album had been given the same treatment (except with a live show and liner notes, thankyouverymuch) I would not be disappointed.
I mean, we should be used to the fact that QPL doesnāt give fans what they want, but getting a whole disc of alternates is pretty generous, even for them.
*I canāt remember if it was here or on another, non-Queen forum, but recently I saw people bitching about it.

I like it, but with just a little bit of effort it could have include a full disk of instrumentals, full disc of live versions, full disc of demos and not just bits and pieces. But overall, I was quite happy with it.

I really enjoyed that box set and was hoping for similar treatments on other albums. Agreed that we could have had a nicer liner notes and maybe a live concert would have been a nice addition, but on the whole, it was worth the money for me. I spun the alternate album disc for quite awhile after release. Genuine question: people* seem upset that the News of the World box was disappointing. I was pleased enough with the alternate takes disc, but it was basically one CD of interest, which cost about Ā£100 - probably the most expensive CD I've ever bought! As I said at the time when the NOTW box was released, most people, I believe, want the audio / video content without all the superfluous tat that simply bumps up the price, and is probably looked at once. I'd be quite happy for them to release some of the archive concerts as bog standard CDs with no frills.
