We all know it will be a disappointment anyhow. I have lost all my faith in Greg and his cronies.

They're just greedy bitches I'm afraid :-) Yep and with Brian & Roger in the 2020 rich list at (13th with £190m & 19th with £170m respectively) maybe they are running on hard times!

Hearing that entire Boston '77 show would be AMAZING BEYOND BELIEF :-) :-) Abso-f***ing-lutely. You're damn right it would! Edit: sorry, I don't know what happened with the quote function.

Everyone so pissed off at Brian and Roger for the way Queen releases material to maximize profits... ...yet there's a Man in the Shadows who still has a stake in Queen productions and has forever been noted as possessing a mind for business. Not to mention having a child with high blood sugar levels which may require expensive medication...

I'm pretty sure there just isn't that much material for Innuendo available. For decades, it has been known that The Miracle yielded masses of material, quite a bit of which could be considered releasable even by BM/RT's insanely high standards. We've seen behind the scenes of Days of our lives and on The Freddie Mercury unreleased documentary, we have bits of interviews with Brian, Roger and John on the set of TATDOOL. Doro have filmed and have more in their archives than we know of... And those bits were carefully curated. They're not going to show us the footage of Mercury limping to his bed on one leg.
No matter how happy and productive he seems, he was in excruciating pain by then, never mind how he looked. About 90% of the sessions for the last two or three videos consisted of the band and crew waiting for Mercury to be well enough to work for an hour or two. I'm surprised we've seen as much as we have.
The reason he's standing in one place for the Days video is because he could barely walk anymore. What a champ that he even did this at all.

The music has to come first. If not, you wind up with an On Air-boxset. Which, obviously, failed miserably. I was not talking about the substance of the box set, but the behind the scenes and interviews being a part of it...

Exactly. He was a star 'til the end. This era, and the footage we even saw from it, totally breaks my heart. I can barely watch, and still cry at TATDOOL.

We tend to forget how much the advent of the internet has spoilt us. All those new releases that now elicit a heartfelt "meh" from us would have driven me absolutely nuts 25 years ago. The internet has satisfied my every completist need when it comes to Queen, but unfortunately at the cost of my ability to be surprised by just about anything that is out there. Still, here's hoping for another Fairy Feller's Master Stroke or Sleeping On The Sidewalk.
Bang on.
1995 - when the most any of us could've had was a few dozen average sounding live shows on cassette and pretty well zero studio material. How much more audio and video is in our collections now that we would've killed to have then ? We have the 24 track master of Bohemian Rhapsody, for crying out loud. Could we have even conceived that? That's the holy grail. Everything else is in second place.
We all have definitely lost some perspective in our digital years.

I don't even know how he was able to do that video to be honest. He couldn't walk and he was palid, plus one of his eye was bloodshot. Anyway, I was talking about seeing the complete interviews with John, Brian and Roger on the set and maybe more takes of Freddie. I don't think it's morbid, every time I see takes of him of that video (and also slightly mad), I'm proud of him, proud that he had the courage to do it even if he was exhausted and he had to rest between takes.

I was hinting at John Deacon, who was frequently mentioned as being the business-minded one. I know he doesn't communicate with the band members, but I think he's still required to be consulted on the band's going-ons?

Well, One way to know is for someone with twitter to ask Either Ross Mccall or Paul HowardIf they based their choreography on something Queen filmed. Maybe a site project for вяейski? haha. i zapped my twitter account last year. just didn't use it.

You can't get hold of anyone anyway, I think Paul Howard has abandoned his social media accounts years ago and Ross Mccall is too famous, the other kids clearly don't want to be known.
I sent the person who i suspect is the photographer (Nigel Wright) an email ages ago, asking if he remembers the date and if they were posed photos or from an actual performance but never heard anything back (I hadn't seen quite so many back then, so the idea they were a posed photo shoot was very likely, now with the amount i don't think that, but it's still a possibility obviously). So for now at least the trail is dead.

The photos do answer the question: Could Queen have toured in 1989?
No.

The other funny thing here is that John actually looks more like one of the kids, he looks so much younger in these shots than he did on the magic tour. Perhaps because he'd had 3 years away from the spotlight?

It was pointed out above that it's dyed which I'd never noticed, maybe it's a hair piece at the top making him look younger?

It's a weird alternate universe because Freddie, Roger, and John are wearing their Magic Tour costumes, Brian is wearing something a cross between what he typically wore in 1989 and something like he might have worn in 1979, there's a quarter sized Magic Tour set with no backline or piano, it looks like the inside of a TV studio.

Damn, you are right. And you've probably hit on why we will not see this footage, or at least not see it for many years.
I've actually removed that photo, there is a certain subset of 'fans' who get a sick enjoyment from photos like that and I hate the idea of my post providing it.

I think it's fair enough to leave the photo up since it's public domain, and Freddie probably saw it before it was released too. He'd have probably noticed the mark on his arm but honestly would have probably thought that nobody would realise what it was. Since we all know what happened to him by now and it was nearly 29 years ago, and this is an official shot and not a paparazzi troll, I think it's fine. I only pointed it out since it really does answer that touring question. It's honestly a Miracle that the album was made, that the videos were made, and that not only that, the did all that work for Innuendo the year later, and managed to start on what would become Made In Heaven. Seeing this photo, while of course very sad in some ways also shows just what incredible resolve Freddie must have had to get out there and keep working on.
I don't want this to be a QZ-style "last years timeline" at all, I'm merely saying that as a tribute to Freddie, he kept working and writing some beautiful music, and giving as much as he could for these videos, and seeing that first photo makes me realise that actually, he would have had every right to quit and just relax for those last two years but no, he wanted us to have the music. Amazing, actually.

This came from someone who has a friend who works at a record shop. He got more detail than this but he wasn't allowed to say anymore than this:
Also the person said The Teaser Tape is used in this but he didn't say how.
