I doubt that the album will get a new remaster. But if John Anthony was involved, then most likely the album will get a half-remaster. That is, some tracks will be as 2011 remaster, and some tracks will be as 2024. I understand that sounds like complete nonsense, but then why would they involve John Anthony. Please folks!! Let’s stop mistaking ’remastering’ with ‘remixing’. 2 different processes and not interchangeable. QPL are by all accounts very happy with the Ludwig 2011 remasters so: no need to do new remasters. However, new mixes are very welcome. Exactly like the Teo Torriate ‘HD’ remix which was lovely (and was a REMIX not a REMASTER). |

Then again Brian is under strict doctor's orders to rest at home, so any "promotional duties" would fall on Roger whether he likes it or not (an he is totally able to pull it off despite being way less diplomatic and more brazen compared to Brian). Not that I believe this upcoming interview is necessarily linked to a boxset release. |

Uncut magazine is preparing an interview with Roger Taylor who might or might not be promoting something... according to Uncut - it's from their "An Audience With..." feature these are Uncut's serial interviews. and, as October's issue has been out since Aug 14th, Roger won't be in that one. With the November issue due on the stands around Sept 14th, it could well be a push for the interview to make that issue too.  |

Keep yourself alive and Liar clip were deleted from the Official YouTube Queen Channel, but there are other versions of the videos for these songs on YouTube. It doesn't look like a prelude to the release yet, usually censors try to delete all versions.

Obvously is not a censor thing, becouse that videos are on the official youtube of the band. It looks like they have this videos on private, and probably they will replace for maybe a new remaster version of them in HD

I'm frustrated with the box contents speculation. I don't care about the tracks or how many discs there might be. It doesn't matter if there are remixes or a new single.
Will there be a commemorative cardboard sleeve?

Cassettes in early seventies sound like SciFi to me. But indeed I'd like to hear that bootleg. I just dug out the bootleg. It only says "tape" so it could very well be a reel to reel tape. Let me contact the maker and see if it can be clarified. I doubt they (well one died this year but I still regard them as a couple) still have the tape in their collection as they sold quite a lot (they are huge fans and even bigger collectors during their heydays).

I'm late to the party, but if I recall correctly the tape (probably reel-to-reel, in '71 cassettes weren't this common) used for the "In The Beginning" boot is a second/third generation copy of the original. I guess they used the acetates since it's the highest gen copy they had in the archives at the moment. |
