I noticed that the 2024 one was started in good time so here I am to facilitate for you all...
Wild predictions to get them out of the way:
- Mr Bad Guy will be rerecorded by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra (keeping the original vocals), with a sleeve design shat by a gibbon.
- Live Killers will be commemorated by an Ox Set....being led through the streets of the world's capital cities.
- A combined Jazz / Live Magic set will be announced, then pulled at the last minute when some initially unspecified "new discovery" is made. Speculation will be rife that this is the original video for Knebworth, it will turn out to be that the Jumbotron used that day has been found to be working*. No more is heard of the proposed release though.
- Greg Brooks is announced as the author of a book of photos taken by Richard Gray of Brian May's memorabilia collection. Trades Descriptions organisations say that they'll keep any complaints on file until anything actually comes into existence.
- Rumours of an "Earls's Court Auction event" cause great excitement, before being revealed to be the actual location being sold off for residential development (no basements allowed though)
- Queen Hangman is finally released - but nobody buys it because we all play that sort of thing with a pen and a Post-it note anyway.....
- 3 new concerts are unearthed! And then buried again, because ewwww, nobody wants to hear that, Freddie doesn't even have his tash yet....
Hopefully with that lot out of the way, we can move through 2025 with more credible claims....
*except for a worryingly specific group of pixels that break down every time John is on screen.

It would nice to get a 30th Anniversary deluxe edition of Made In Heaven next year. Here's how it could go, a big deluxe book which includes... CD 1 - Original Made In Heaven Album Remastered. CD 2 - Early 1993 version of the Album by Roger and John before Brian got involved. CD 3 - All the You Don't Fool Me remixes on one disc for the first time. CD 4 - Instrumental tracks.
DVD/Blu - The Original Made In Heaven videos plus interviews about the making of the Album. Double Vinyl of the Album.
Now that will be 200 quid.

I think you are missing the big picture. 2025 is a momentous year. It will be the 75th anniversary of Brian May's third birthday, The 75th Anniversary of Freddie's Fourth Birthday, The 75th Anniversary of Roger's First birthday and most importantly, mid November 2025 will be the 75th anniversary of John's conception.
Sounds like an excuse to re release the complete LP box set, but this time, instead of colours that represent the album, they will all be on transparent baby blue vinyl and come with a keepsake dummy/pacifier

2025 is of course 20th anniversary of Return of The Champions shouldn't be missed! Probalbly they release it with nice bonus material, such as random QAL concert under the name The Return of retired Champions...
On the serious note, there is a possibility of QII box set and a box set of another album (Inuendo, SHA, The Works or Jazz are the most discussed) for 2025 and 2026, right before Sony takeover.

If they somehow find the long lost Knebworth tapes and release the concert in 4k the Queen fans on this forum will go: Why didnt they release something from the Crazy Tour instead? We have have Wembley and Budapest show already! I picture a bunch of children crying because they couldnt have their saturday candy.

There aren’t any “long lost Knebworth tapes” - they didn’t record it. The most extensive records of that day are reportedly held by DoRo as they had been commissioned make a two hour Knebworth documentary, which Rudi claims was completed at the time, but then shelved.

It would nice to get a 30th Anniversary deluxe edition of Made In Heaven next year. that's a novel idea...a Memorial Service (deluxe box) for a Requiem (1995 LP) for a Vigil (tribute concert)

I dont expect a damn thing, I'll be honest.
But what do I hope for? I know that QPL has pretty much ditched the idea of doing anniversary releases, but A Night At The Opera 50th would be a sick boxset. There's a ton of cool outtakes that could be released from that, like Bohemian Rhapsody's bloopers and Brian's piano demo of God Save The Queen. Hyde Park would be a great live addition, and they could include some missing songs from that set like Death On Two Legs from EC or Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon from a soundboard show.
Queen II is the obvious candidate after Queen I of course, but I'm thinking that they probably don't want to do two of Queen's more "obscure" albums in a row. ANATO would surely be a HUGE hit.

I personally think the 2005 5.1 remixes suck raw ass, so I'd be very happy to hear a more modern approach. Not many notice, but the actual mastering of ANATO's '75 mix has some objective issues that could definitely use some ironing out.

What I think that most of us have been hoping for so long is a "Anthology" , but that is never ever going to happen because QPL have gone down the very clever route of Box Sets. Fifteen studio albums made into Box Sets average price say £175 x fifteen gives you £2,625 that's not including any live Box Sets they might do. Even if they priced a "Anthology" at £500 it small change compared to what they can do with Box Sets. Shame I will probably be dead before all the Box Sets are released.

Maybe it's been quietly dropped now though?

Long awaited The Miracle Box Set was released 2022 (Okay, if it weren't for COVID, the box set would have been released in 2019). Queen I Box Set will be released this year. The release intervals for box sets are about 2–3 years. So I doubt there will be anything in a box in 2025, but of course, I really hope so. Especially, I'm sure Brian will want to let his badgers out. Does anyone know when Sony will have rights on the Queen studio catalog?

Long awaited The Miracle Box Set was released 2022 (Okay, if it weren't for COVID, the box set would have been released in 2019). No it wouldn't. COVID broke out in December 2019 in China, and became a pandemic in the early 2020. They would have announced the box in September '19 if it was about to hit the Xmas market.
But yes, overall I agree. They don't hurry with these boxes. So there's probably no box in pipeline for 2025.

But QPL this is QPL who knows, what they are thinking for before they can't use their own studio catalog. Am I right in understanding that QPL will cease to exist after the studio catalog is transferred to Sony?

If we get one box set a year which is being a bit optimistic the remaining 12 studio Box sets will take until at least 2037 to be released and I will hopefully be 73 ! Brian will be 89 , Roger 87 & John 85 if with gods grace they are still with us . So I should guess the long awaited "Anthology" should be released in around 2045 ! That's if global warming has not ended the world or Donald Trump hits the red button and we have a nuclear war or any other maniac who is in power. If some Queen fans survive all of this expect the "Anthology" around 2075 . Something to look forward to though isn't it !!

- Mr Bad Guy will be rerecorded by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra (keeping the original vocals), with a sleeve design shat by a gibbon. It could be interesting. In contrast with "Barcelona" which sounds worse with "live orchestra".

I'm nowhere near an expert as you are for sure, but when I split ANATO's 5.1 remix I was able to hear a lot of tracks more separately much better. Easiest example being '39 where you can hear Brian's split higher and lower vocal harmonies towards the end. I only got slightly similar effect with the Game (it wasn't as clean but still OK). The GVH ones were very much less so. The latest TNCD one - sounds nice but I couldn't really hear separate tracks.
