Did anyone ever hear Brian's interview re 'Dead on Time'? I never personally heard it but my 'Queen pal' did and basically, Brian stated that in a way, it was 'Keep Yourself Alive' part 2. Interesting point as regards the song structure. It may have been a BBC snippet. it was Old Grey Whistle Test, Brian was in New Orleans and it was a phone interview with Anne Nightingale? and...talking of DOT: i like this (not sure about the vocalist), but the band pretty much nail it I remembered the video having more trains in it than that, it was a long time ago though!

Love the album. Very diverse. Maybe a bit too diverse at times. I recall during the mid 90's that I had never heard this album and mentioned to a fellow Queen fan that Queen made an album called Jazz. She said that Queen don't make jazz music When I got it, I got a remastered CD version which had an annoying click during the FBG intro. I still expect to hear it to this day, even though it has been removed from newer remasters now. I do understand the meaning in relation to the word 'jazz' ('things'), but do not still fully understand why the album is called like that and why they chose that artwork. Unless the title really just refers to the diversity of the album. Than it kind of makes sense. The reinstated bass drum version of Jealousy was a nice surprise in 2011. I still however do not fully believe that it was forgotten during mixing in 1978. How could one have overseen that back then? Was this ever mentioned in the past before 2011?

I too don't know why the album is called Jazz; possibly another Member of this Forum has heard or read about one or more Member(s) of Queen discussing why the album was named as such. Regarding the album artwork, Bicycle Race is of course represented in the artwork, albeit fairly insignificantly. Apart from that, why the artwork was chosen is a mystery to me too.

According to an interview with Roger Taylor, It was called Jazz because they found "Jazz" written on a wall in Germany.

I like jazz a lot. Not a fan of Mustapha & Leaving Home. Other than that I do enjoy listing to that album and I find myself listing to it a lot. Dead On Time is definitely my favorite track
