You sure can - if you're in Firefox, for example, right click the image, select "copy image location," and then paste it into the image function I mentioned in my post just above this one.

In 1975 he was still chasing his musical dreams, while a few years later he was focused on chasing his personal dreams which resulted in a drastic change of image, behaviour, and losing that will and focus. And ultimately his life.
But in 78 can you blame him for getting distracted? He knew those first 5 or 6 albums were going to stand the test of time, so he just kind of moved on.
He's even quoted in a 1977 interview shortly after releasing NOTW saying they'd taken their sound and studio techniques as far as they can go. In hindsight he was right. Mercury was no fool.

Here's my pic for today. A great shot of the band on the raised stage for an acoustic set, Jazz tour. Marvellous to finally see this in high res !
Just rummaged through my random Jazz tour photos, and noticed that these two are almost certainly on the way to the same gig:

Japan 1976. Specific date unknown. I have doubt of the date but I think the pic could from one of this shows: Nagoya March 23th, Tokyo March 22 and Fukuoka March 26th I think more looks like Fukuoka March 26th gig but in another it could be from one of Australian gigs of tour it's very hard to recognize because they wore the same outfits in encore all nights

10 years later he came back to chasing his musical dreams and did the Barcelona album, which is incredible in every way. Surely it's no coincidence that at the same time he change his image again, and shaved his moustache, which to me symbolize leaving behind his "promiscuous" lifestyle and coming back to what mattered before. Shame it ended so quickly.

Probably just something to write down instructions or details over the phone. It's no payphone that's for sure!
Great pics! The Jazz tour was an interesting tour. The rest of the world got their 1st look at Freddie going "hell bent for leather"

Shame it ended so quickly. Which makes it all the more impressive that he came up with 3 1/2 albums of great material in those five years. Most artists aren't lucky enough to get a second wind like that.

What is that thing behind Brian's back? Apart from the telephone obviously It's attached to the wall. I guess it's a tiny desk for people to take notes while they're on the phone. There are pens on top.

Now on to the 1st half of the 1980s. 1. Nice shot of the band from the Game tour. Not sure about the show. I've seen a very similar pic taken almost at the same moment, also without a specific date. 2. Freddie in front of his new house. 3. Freddie watching Freddie on TV in Japan. Nice quality. 4. I always liked this pic from the Works tour. Very dynamic. 5. Playback of 'Mr Bad Guy' album at Musicland Studios - Munich, 1985. Interesting to see that Brian is present. 6. Great wide shot of the Live Aid performance.

3. Freddie watching Freddie on TV in Japan. Nice quality. Looks like it's the video for I Was Born To Love You. It became quiet a hit there in Japan. My dad remembered hearing that song from a commercial when he was staying there when the song came out.

And then around 2004 the Queen version became a hit as it was used for some soap opera or something. I was living in Tokyo at the time, and that song was virtually inescapable.

I heard something about that song being used in a lot of commercials in Japan aside from the one my dad heard, and in a couple of shows including that soap opera you mentioned. If anything, it was that popular in Japan! I was in Tokyo last year on a business trip, and they were even playing it on a music store I was visiting, and that's where my Japanese companion told me about the song being used in commercials and shows. That should say a lot about Queen and Japan, doesn't it?

1. Nice shot of the band from the Game tour. Not sure about the show. I've seen a very similar pic taken almost at the same moment, also without a specific date. It's by their touring photographer Neal Preston. Most of his stuff is undated - he was there most nights by 1980.

Nice ! I had it (now clearly mislabelled) as Birmingham 74, but that ceiling is unmistakable.
Here it is in higher res:

Me and queen1970s did a bit of detective work and got these points of interest: 1. Everyone (except for John, haven’t seen any photos of John, besides the head of his precision) seems to be wearing the same attire as the Oxford gig 2. The spotlight’s projections seem to be corresponding with the confirmed Oxford photo 3. The same microphone stand, or something similar to a pole, is behind Roger in the two pics with him in it 4. The roof looks the same as the New Theatre one (which you previously mentioned) 5. The piece of clothing hanging from Freddie’s pants is the exact same placement and colour 6. The necklaces Freddie is wearing are very apparent in all photos Anyway, I thought I’d share that with everybody, thanks - Jaxon.

Now the 2nd half of the 80s. 1. Freddie & John working together in the studio in 1986, probably on one of the songs they co-written at the time. 2. This one is nice and rather rare. The evening when Montserrat Caballe presented to the Covent Garden audience the song written by Freddie & Mike, which is now known as 'Exercises In Free Love' - the same song that Freddie presented to her on their very first meeting about 1 month before. Later to be reworked and entitled 'Ensueno'. Would be incredible to hear that performance, but the chances are very small. Here's a quote from freddiemercury.com: "On March 29, Montserrat was in London for her sold out performance in Covent Garden. Freddie was in attendance of course, and was, by all accounts, a quivering wreck. True to her word, as the final encore of the recital, Montserrat surprised her audience by announcing a brand new piece entitled 'Exercises In Free Love', written for her by Freddie Mercury and Mike Moran. The flawless performance evoked a standing ovation from the audience, and once again Freddie was ecstatic. After the recital, Freddie, Mike, Montserrat and brother Carlos, dined together at Freddie’s house. Over dinner, Montserrat asked Freddie if he would write a song about her home town, and of course he agreed. Discussions continued late into the night - despite Carlos announcing early on that his sister and he would not be staying long - and the two finally left Freddie’s house at 5.00 a.m. the next morning. During the night, Freddie, Montserrat and Mike worked on ideas together which would later form the basis of Barcelona and The Fallen Priest. Mike Moran: “We played everything from Aretha Franklin to Jennifer Holliday, and Montserrat had a go at gospel music like a diva had never done before. She felt a wonderful sense of artistic freedom, which Freddie had brought into her life. She said that it was wonderful being with people for whom music was a very natural expression, rather than a ritualised process”." 3. Freddie with a fan on 13th July 1988, outside Garden Lodge. Exactly 3 years after Live Aid. Originally uploaded on Instagram. Unable to find it right now. 4. Brian & Roger with ladies at The Who show, Royal Albert Hall, 31 October 1989 5. One of my favourite photos of all time. I Want It All, 1989 6. There's a lot of great photos taken during The Miracle video shooting. I pick this one because everyone is here and it's a nice group photo.

And don't' forget annoyance that the guitar on Made in Heaven sounded too much like his style.

Are there are any pics of John laying down guitar parts in the studio? Since he played rhythm guitar on a number of songs.
