I'd like to add one recent annoyance. Last week just before Freddie's yellow vinyl was released, Jackie send emails to fan club members saying "...it makes me VERY angry, but it is already on Ebay, and hasn't even gone on sale yet!! So unfair that real fans miss out to the money grabbers!" I mean why sending those useless words to innocent fans instead of telling whoever in charge that you should just make more copies. Empty words with no sense of responsibility ...
Like most in the Queen Machine, Jackie is clueless and has lost the plot.

-Paul Gambaccini acting like an expert on Freddie and any other deceased celeb in any documentary that will have him. There's a new Lennon documentary on Netflix. I started it, the first talking head you see is Gambaccini... I stopped watching. Looked like the interview was filmed at the same time as one of his recent Freddie interviews...

I know he's omnipresent when it comes to obituaries, but Paul really does know his stuff and is a very reliable broadcaster. In terms of Freddie, I can't think of anyone better to feature on News of Ten or whatever - generally speaking you get a journo you've never heard of just wheeling out lines from Wikipedia.

Slightly Controversal View: Flash Gordon is a great Album. Agreed. Liam Howlet was inspired to write "Firestarter" while listening to the Flash OST. P.S. This also clearly Queen inspired. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu15Mk02vhA

Two things really annoy me. The constant rehashing in various forms of GH, just feels like a money grab to me. Secondly, the people who don't accept that when it comes to QAL, people have different opinions on the matter and that's ok. Those like me who are not fans don't like being told we are wrong and constantly having it shoved in our faces (why did we need photos of AL on the Queen 3D book?). For the record, I've nothing against AL personally and I do think he can sing, he just doesn't do anything for me (and I did actually go to see the first tour so nobody can accuse me of not even giving him a chance). On the opposite of that, I do understand why Brian and Roger tour with him and why people go to see them.

Over the years I managed to tolerate many annoying things about Queen and get over them.
One thing I can't stand and is still very annoying even today almost 40 years.
The farting synth solo on I want to break free. What did they hear?

What (kind of) annoys me is the number if fans I've met offline (are they actually a majority?) who seem to have very little interest in the MUSIC and seem more interested in talking about Freddie's jackets, Roger's children, the color of their vinyls or their latest Queen-related tatoo.

Regarding IWBTF, John was going through a period of not wanting guitar solos on his songs. Perhaps he asked Fred Mandel to do an 'impression' of a Red Special solo on the synth? Even today a lot of people don't know it's a synth and assume it's Brian playing.
Brian has stated that it's very difficult to play on guitar and he had to adapt it slightly.

Things that annoy me:
- The abomination that was Greatest Hits III. It sullied the leagcy of its two fantastic predecessors.
- We still have no official full concert releases from the band's vital 1976-1980 period, Live Killers is just an incomplete compilation of many Jazz European tour shows.
- The Magic tour represented less than 4% of Queen's live career. But to the general public 'Queen Live' means a yellow-jacketed moustached Freddie running round Wembley singing Radio Ga Ga. And Brian and Roger are happy to maintain that image, even though Queen live were so much more than that.
- The insistence by Brian & Roger that the Magic tour was their 'best tour'. Anyone who's listened to enough bootlegs will know that in fact it was one of their worst - Ratty tells the truth in his book.
- As others have said the endless rehashing of hits compilations, three original Greatest Hits, then the reissues, then Absolute Greatest (a total cash-in), then Deep Cuts, then Forever etc etc.
- The elevation of certain mediocre songs to 'iconic' status because of association with death/Freddie's illness - e.g. WWTLF, TATDOOL.
Probably a lot more but that will do for now.

Also I'm annoyed by people associating WWTLF, TSMGO, Days of our Lives w/Freddie's death/illness, WWTLF especially so. Also we need more official live releases from 70's in general - Night at the Odeon and Rainbow were fantastic, I wish I could say the same for Wembley/Live aid/Budapest.

" 'A Kind Of magic'" ♦ he could have mistitled the song as "It's A Kind of Magic"

Also I'm annoyed by people associating WWTLF, TSMGO, Days of our Lives w/Freddie's death/illness, WWTLF especially so. The Show Must Go On:"The Show Must Go On" is a song by the British rock band Queen, featured as the twelfth and final track on their 1991 album Innuendo. It is credited to Queen, but written mainly by Brian May.The song chronicles the effort of frontman Freddie Mercury continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life, although his diagnosis with HIV/AIDS had not yet been made public in spite of ongoing media speculation claiming that he was seriously ill. When the band recorded the song in 1990 Mercury's condition had deteriorated to the point that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. May recalls; "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll fucking do it, darling'—vodka down—and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal".“It’s my favorite song on the album, now. It’s got that kind of sadness, but it’s hopeful.”Brian May – August 1991, Guitar World “‘The Show Must Go On’ came from Roger and John playing the sequence, and I started to put things down. At the beginning, it was just this chord sequence, but I had this strange feeling that it could be somehow important, and I got very impassioned and went and beavered away at it. I sat down with Freddie, and we decided what the theme should be and wrote the first verse. It’s a long story, that song, but I always felt it would be important because we were dealing with things that were hard to talk about at the time, but in the world of music, you could do it.”Brian May – 1994

I don't know if he outright said it was a clown but that is pretty much in the lyrics of the song. Behind the pantomime curtain his heart is breaking, makeup flaking but his smile stays on.

Now that is interesting. Brian loves 'Tracks of my Tears' and I'd bet he's familiar with the other Smokey Robinson songs too. I think there's a good chance he used those lyrics as some inspiration for The Show Must Go On.
What has this to so with 'Things that annoy us?' You tell me.

Here's My list of things that annoys me:
The classic "Freddy"
Stupid comments in Queen's early 70's shows, about Montreal 1981, for example:
"I'm In Love With My Car sounds heavier in Houston 1977 but i prefer Montreal 1981 badly"
Autotune/Pitch Correcting Freddie's vocals in the Multi-Tracks
Earl's Court 1977 not getting released
People saying that "Live Aid" is the best concert
Lies about the Hyde Park footage
Back Chat and Calling All Girls not getting a 4:3 release (original aspect ratio)
80's Freddie in every f*cking Queen Tribute bands

Official press releases, and media previews/reviews, that have factual inaccuracies about the band. It may be minor to some, but these are often the source of how rumours and untruths get spread and increased until they become accepted as real.
pretty much every official QPL product press release for several years has had errors in.

I absolutely hate queen tribute bands, may as well stay home and watch one of the numerous Wembley dvds i have. I hate the fact we have been denied products eg, anthologies, the first concert recording, that have been mentioned in the past then not bothered with. Some of the videos on YouTube of absolute fuckwits pestering john in recent years for autographs etc People who say freddie was a showman, he was, but he was also a fantastic musician and singer. When guitarists go off and do solo projects with west end singers, for no other reason than wanting to get into their underwear. There are a couple of really good tribute bands though. It doesn't matter if they look them them. The sound is imperative though.

-People who spell "Freddy"/"Fredy" (and I'm not talking about my mother, but people who call themselves "super fans") -People who take the movie as gospel -Tribute bands -People who make jokes about Freddie being gay -"Ten things you didn't know about Queen/F.M." lists, with information we all know. -Fans who hate "Delilah" -People who think "Love of my life" is a love song and "You're my best friend" is a friendship song.

-People that wear Queen shirts but do not know it is actually a rock band. -Queen cover bands that have a singer with a fake moustache and yellow jacket. -That I never saw Freddie live, (I was 11 when they did there last show in the Netherlands, I became a big fan a few months after the concert)
That's it for now.
