If a new video is going to be released, they're definitely milking this song. Having stated earlier in this thread that to me it's much better than most of their 80's songs, I guess I should support a 2nd vid.

TSMGO video was something intersting during its time, since then Queen team, fans create these kind of videos. I found them cliché and very obscure. I am not keen, even if it has snippet of 1-2 seconds of unreleased film reel.
The animation video like All Dead All Dead is in good taste and has some art.

Even Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow was a marked improvement over DoRo's cut-and-paste style, and I agree that All Dead All Dead is class all around. I also love the On My Way Up video, and despite its technical flaws I like the concept of Back To The Light. In fact, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I would rather have more Made In Heaven: The Films-style videos instead of collage cut-and-pastes; I know it was controversial at the time, and probably still is, but the videos were creative and different from the norm, and they gave young, fledgling directors a chance, and I think they did a good job.

I agree MIH films were creative and different and I would like if they do something like that in the future. Also more anmated videos with creative and artistic style.

God no. Those "Made in Heaven films" were so boring. I remember being so disappointed with them. I wanted to see Queen, not some random actors.

Isn't that the trend nowadays? I suppose it's more like how they would let anything other than this pass. Didn't happen with LMIYHA

Maybe because I heard the dmo and I miss some hook melody lines, especially the instrumental power ballad part. The song doesn't have climax, it's a loop with bad ending. I wish they had reased a 12" single or a digital extended version with the power ballad part, even and a better ending. Then for sure , I would powerplayed it.

Thankfully it's not Body Language II, or some sort of bastardised colab with Beyonce, but it's not a classic either. It's pleasant enough, and think it might have belonged on a b side, but can't really see it fitting into the album, or indeed, the Innuendo album.

Heard it today for the first time on a dutch station. Played it loud in the car. I must confess that the new version is starting to grow on me. I know it is a copy and paste song but it is very well done.

It's pleasant enough, and think it might have belonged on a b side, but can't really see it fitting into the album, or indeed, the Innuendo album. Although I still feel it sounds more like Innuendo or MIH (and what a bless it would've been to replace Delilah with this one!), I could picture it making the album, perhaps immediatly before Was It All Worth It to set the mood. Including Too Much Love and Face It Alone AND ditching Rain Must Fall and My Baby Does Me (both of which would've belonged better not even as b-sides, but as bonus tracks on some boxset 30 years later) would've made the album considerably stronger. I see The Miracle as Queen's strongest 80s album more because the contestants (Hot Space, The Works and AKOM - no The Game here, sorry pg) are really weak and inconsistent, but ditching RMF and MBDM for TMLWKY and FIA would've made it significantly more consistent, and a great album on its own merits, rather than just by comparison to whatever they'd done in the past 8 years. I'll risk sounding like some teenage fanboy getting overly excited over a new release, but an album where FIA is the weakest track does sound like a damn good album, and I wouldn't hesitate to rate it on the same level as Innuendo - very different sounding than their 70s output, but definitely not inferior in any way.

(and what a bless it would've been to replace Delilah with this one!) Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but why do so many people hate Delilah? I've never understood all the hate it gets. Is it just that people take albums too seriously or something? Is it not obviously just a song they decided to do for fun because why not, especially given Freddie's health at the time?

I don't mind Delilah. I think it is OK and mildly enjoyable. Then again I kinda like that "trope" Body Language song. Don't mind me, I don't mind "stupid". I am just easily amused.
There are many other Queen songs I don't like.

It's not an album track, it's not even really a b-side track, at best it's something that would have been sent out as a fun convention extra. I don't hate it, and I'm sure it was some light relief for all involved to record, especially for Freddie but it's out of place on the album. If the circumstances were different it wouldn't have been on the album.

If the circumstances were different it wouldn't have been on the album. "it's out of the place on the album" - that's it! It's too light and cheesy, and feels almost like a joke, but tucked inside perhaps Queen's most serious sounding album. I feel it spoils the mood without really bringing anything too valuable or interesting. Perhaps something like this song wouldn't have felt so out of place among the vaudeville songs in the early albums (if we ignore the obvious discrepancy between the 70s production vs 90s production, of course). Even I'm Going Slightly Mad, which seems to be some sort of joke song sounds Innuendo-ish. The synths, bass line and vocals are kinda eerie and definitely fit well side-by-side with songs like Innuendo and The Show Must Go On, even if the video features Brian chasing penguins or Roger in a tricycle. Delilah just doesn't. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but why do so many people hate Delilah? I've never understood all the hate it gets. I find it easier to enjoy Body Language than Delilah, and probably because of the album where each of them is. You're listening to a disco-sounding album and a funky synth bass line with sex lyrics comes up, big deal. You're listening to an album where half the songs are ominous, dramatic, with intense orchestration, dense lyrics about serious themes and the other half are heavy rockers, and suddenly some synth pop ballad about a cat with cheesy harmonized "meows" comes up, what the heck? Perhaps it'd be easier to enjoy Delilah inside a "Queen joke songs" playlist, or maybe a "Cheesy Queen ballads" playlist - but I don't know, I never tried and I'd rather not anyway.

Roger hates Delilah and probably didn’t want it in the album. But who’s gonna fight a dying man?

Worst videoclip Queen ever made. Some fan boy could have done it better. Who the holy duck is Simon Lipton Ice Tea? It's astonishing he's still working for Queen Productions...

Couldn't have said it better. It's way too overwhelming and the overuse of Freddie's iconic pose from Wembley NIH made me cringe. A lot.

Not a bad video, would have been better with all the doro outtakes out there, but sadly the band has fallen out with doro so nothing new from them anytime soon

This new generation and their toxic name calling, Fan boy, Dad Rock. Almost like you can't be a fan of an artist without being called a name or get insulted. Back in the day we were just fans, I never heard of insults if you were a die hard fan. Did I meantion I can't stand this generation? Lol

Btw, I kinda like the new video. Was well prepared to see something I dislike, but i didn't. It's not among their best by far, but it's fine. Miniatures scenes give off just a bit of an Innuendo video vibe, and the sillhouette version of IM was a very good "save" so it doesn't look like a cheap montage video. Thank god they didn't go the ADAD or LMLTNT style of animation.

I've watched the new video. I have to state that I prefer the Official Lyric Video. The new vid. isn't bad, but overall it just doesn't seem too appealing to me.
Also, having listened to the song for my 2nd time, I agree with some others who have posted here or elsewhere that the song seems unfinished. I still like it, but it lost some of it's appeal to me when I revisited it.

Thank god they didn't go the ADAD or LMLTNT style of animation. My thoughts exactly. I also had a feeling that they used the trope which had been used in the Doro's A Winter's Tale videoclip : to have all the band members in one space but their very presence is created by memories, photos, bits of videoclips and so on. Of course DoRo made their video very nostalgic and the atmosphere of having someone's wake, the sheer sensitivity, vulnerability connected with the feeling of loss is present there (I love the shot of the piano with bandmates' photos and lit candles), here if I had to describe the feeling I would say that there is a certain kind of cold, but the cold connected with stone, marble or a monument. It's a nice video but with today's technology they could create (using shots of Freddie) an animated drawing singing these lines, something that DoRo were trying to do in the Innuendo videoclip.

I have mixed feelings about the song. It tries to pretend to be the real thing, but it's structurally repetitive, and has a copy-and-paste quality to it, not to mention the pitch correction. Personally, I'd rather hear the original demo released with all its technical imperfections. Of course, in such a case BM and RT couldn't create all the hype around it, so probably we would never get a 'Miracle' box set in the first place and we get into a vicious circle. On the other hand, it's still such a beautiful melody over a nice chord progression. On a good day I listen to it as something that could have been. However, I don't hope for any more efforts of this sort in the future.
