Nowadays this is easy, but in 1986 ot has been a different story. these days it's the easiest thing in the world to record audio, and if you have video screens, the video feed. most major bands have a very decent camera set up on any given night, so there's potentially a very good looking concert film from every single gig a bands records. I think they should open up the QPR and Qal archives, and start releasing videos. why not donate some of the profits to the MPT? on a related topic; Bruce Springsteen has had an archive series (audio only) going for 8 years. The amount of multitrack recordings he has put out from the 75-88 era is quite impressive, especially considering the amount of equipment/work that meant at the time. Not to mention the expense. Now; from 75-84, Springsteen was a moderate success compared to Queen, so why he had the knack for recording tours properly and Queen didn't? Who knows.... of course - Queen MAY have loads of stuff in the vault no one knows about.... Using Springsteen as an example of what Queen could have done is all well and good, but two more extreme examples of what has been done and what maybe should have been done would be Frank Zappa who multitracked almost every gig he played from the 60’s until 1988. At the opposite end of the scale Pink Floyd recorded very few gigs in the 60’s and 70’s and none on their biggest audience attendance tour, of the 70’s, their In The Flesh tour. As has been said filming and/or recording is a much easier process now than it was back then.

Could it also be the case that they just wanted to be a bit more relaxed for the final show of the tour, and not have the additional pressure of the performance being recorded and / or filmed?

Hi, boys and girls! Please, tell me what in this video mr. Greg says about original duet FM with Rod Stewart "Take Another Little Peace Of My Heart (let Me Live)"? You can hear a bit of that demo on the Great Pretender documentary released 10 years ago. Yes, Thanks to Golden Salmon for saving it. What about full version that duet - it was unfinished? Greg Brooks give answers for question on that video, but i'm better perceive text English, not spoken)

I am not a native English speaker, but let me give it a go.
At about 7min18s, Greg Brooks says that:
- There is no proper version of Let Me Live with Rod Stewart. - Rod was present during the recordings of this track, which was called Take a Little Peace of My Heart. - There are recordings of Rod jamming that song with the band.
Cheers,
Ogre-

Quite possibly. And being that they had filmed two venues from the tour already. Knebworth was also a late addition and tagged onto the end of the tour.

Rudi Dolezal has recently says that he was commissioned by the band at the time to make a Knebworth documentary, but that was not released and later on superseded by the ‘Champions of the World’ vhs. He claims he pretty much has it ready to release with all the gig footage DoRo recorded plus loads of unseen documentary and backstage footage, but it does seem that disputes between him and QPL mean it likely won’t be seen. Shame.
