If it has Face it alone take 3-4 or any other more completed form of this song, I will definitely buy. If...

[...] I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that "You Know You Belong To Me" will prove to be a polished and more complete version of "I Guess We're Falling Out". ‘I Guess We’re Falling Out’, credited to the whole band, is also listed, suggesting they’re different songs. Just to play with Ian’s theory… maybe Falling Out is the work-in-progress song, and You Belong is the finished song? Or maybe it’s an unrelated song? The May-only credit is suspect…

Since we are talking about the new/reworked song in another thread, and we have no info whatsoever on what may be featured on the box set, there are some other possibilities I'd like to see (hear?):
Guide vocal demos by Brian - I Want It All - Scandal - Was It All Worth It - Too Much Love Will Kill You - Hang On In There
Guide vocal demos by Roger - Breakthru (?) - Stealin'
Guide vocal demos by Freddie - Hijack My Heart (?)
Real drum tracks - Rain Must Fall - My Baby Does Me - My Life Has Been Saved
Watch the final product include none of these, haha.

There is a demo of TMLWKY from mid 80s, it was circulated around 2008-09, I haven't given a listen since then, vocal takes were done by Brian and Elizabeth Lamers.

How about real drum tracks for Breakthru? It's a mix for sure, but aren't the main ones real??? Yeah, there are several Brian solo demos, most or all have circulated. I meant Queen demos.

If Roger is underneath, he must be quite deeply buried. Here is what David said about The Miracle album: The drums are a combination of real drums and samples put into an AMS digital delay. Most of the drums on the first side of the album are real, but where there's a synth bass, you're usually listening to sampled drums. All the drum sounds come from Roger's kit, though; it sounds a bit purist but it's worth doing in the end - if you use other people's sounds you'll soon lose the identity of the band. www.muzines.co.uk/articles/david-richards/5631

Roger has a very distinctive style, with that synced snare and hi-hat, so you can usually tell if it's him 'live' or a sample.

I guess that is a mistake. Probably the initial idea was to release on 2020, not 2000 They didn't really announce it in 2020, did they? Perhaps they were about to when the pandemic hit worldwide, but I don't remember anything other than rather substantiated claims (Greg Brooks talking about it and whatnot). Definitely more than a rumor, but no real talk until just now. Pretty sure Greg also talked about a potential "Jazz" anniversary release that never happened. I don't think they ever pushed for it since it's hardly among the band's own favorite albums, but then again I gotta wonder why they're going all in with "The Miracle". Not that I'll complain. Anyway, here's hoping the final product became better after the extra 2 years. Yes they did announce it - if albeit not formally, when Jim Beach announced it at the annual Freddie birthday party (presumably Sept 2019?)

Yes indeed, I think that, they preferred Roger's samples than drum machines, even if the samples lacking some characteristics of his live drumming.

I just wish they'd get on and commit to a series of proper special editions of all the albums, rather than them coming in dribs and drabs. I was hoping for DVD-As of them all, but we only got ANATO and The Game. Criminally, QII and ADATR have never had any 'special' editions. I'd be happy for Jazz to have a complete remix, to fix the terrible drum sound, and they must have plenty of live material they could add to the early albums, or even just outtakes, to make substantial editions actually worth purchasing. And don't make us buy bloody vinyl in a box set when we can't play it and don't want it!

I know I sound like a broken record when it comes to reissued but Jethro Tull’s reissue program has become the benchmark for me: remastered album and bonus stuff, studio outtakes and alternate versions, as well as a live show (on both CD and DVD – this was started back in 2011, before Blu-Ray became almost the norm). All in a 90-plus page book set with informative liner notes and new interviews with the various band members. And I think they were $60 each – a helluva bargain.
(Oh, and no vinyl is involved – which certainly helps with the cost!)

There was around the internet few seconds of 3nd or 4th take. They came from the convention thus the bad audio. The last couple weeks all these videos have been taken down. In 2007 I heard a little bit more of the 3nd - 4th takes.

Just for clarification, how many takes of Face it Alone have been shared online? AFAIK there are 3/4 takes, a 5 minute soundboard demo and a 4 minute guitar instrumental.

Actually, a leaked 5-minute demo (as far as a 4-minute guitar demo) is not from soundboard, it's from tape recorder (I dunno, hidden or not) that was placed next to the speakers while the demo has been played. There're 3 vocal takes (all were played on conventions) - 1st take, 2nd take (1st with overdubs) and 3rd take (where when can actually hear the "In the end you'll have to face it alone" lyrics).

This was most likely recorded during the UK 2001 fan club convention and was leaked in 2016 by Dutch guy Sikke in one of his YouTube videos.

Just been reading on the Queenpod FB group that there is a piece in the Fan Club magazine from Brian talking about the box set in some detail including confirmation of Face It Alone.
I'll paste what I've seen: This is wonderful!!!!!! "From QFC magazine! Our small but incredibly dedicated production team have been working for many months on revisiting the session audio tapes for “The Miracle” album, to create a brand new Boxed Set—much as I have been doing for my solo albums. The making of “The Miracle” was a very fertile time for us as a band, creatively, so, as they worked their way through the multitracks, our chaps found all sorts of forgotten goodies ! In fact they found so many alternative takes of the songs, they were able to create a complete set of alternative mixes—things that might have been ! Listening to what they have put together actually shocked me. I had forgotten how much great material we discarded at the time, in search of the optimum versions. So the new album of all these constructions is full of spontaneous gems which were only rejected at the time because we had an embarrassment of riches to call on, to make just one album ! But what is even more arresting when you hear this stuff is that Justin, Kris and Josh have left in lots of the chat and jollity which went on in the studio while this was happening. At the beginnings and ends of these raw takes we were always commenting, communicating, exchanging ideas, or just getting in the mood. So when I first heard this new alternative “Miracle Sessions” all the way through I felt very much like I felt when watching the Beatles documentary on Netflix—I felt I was THERE in the studio, sharing those intimate moments. I think you will feel the same. Now in addition to all these alternate takes of songs you already know, yes—there were also some excursions into songs that NOBODY out there ever heard at the time. I won’t give you too many spoilers, but I know you’re going to love some of these songs, or in some cases fragments of songs, which have been locked away in a drawer for 40 years. And there is one track that stood out to us all as a possible new single. We never regarded it as finished at the time, but the work that the Boys have done on it digitally to rescue its elements has made it possible to offer a complete track. It’s called “Face It Alone”—and features Freddie in a very deep contemplative mood, and also features work we all did together which has never been heard until now. We all love it—a lost treasure—and we hope you will feel the same. So ! Watch this space ! Love to you all."

I'm geniously curious to know how a complete "Face It Alone" would sound like. Also he talks about "fragments of songs", so maybe he's talking about "A New Life is Born" or "I guess we're falling out" (just to name two of the most famous Queen demos). But since we're talking about QP I won't get my hopes up too high.
