Notice how much of those are compilations or live albums or solo work. Be real for a second, Do you really expect them to make episodes on the 'Sunny Day' promo single or the Icon album? well, that wasn't the original point being made, was it? i'll refresh your memory: All down-hill from here, now that there isn't much else to really talk about (especially after the '90s) Not true ... there is idol Adam, Queen Adam and even more Adam to talk about ... I disagree: 2000 - Freddie mercury - Solo Collection 2004 - Queen on Fire, Live at the Bowl 2005 - Return of the Champions 2005 - "Reaching Out" 2006 - Freddie Mercury - "Love Kills" (Sunshine People Remix) 2007 - Say It's Not True 2008 - The Cosmos Rocks 2008 - "C-lebrity" 2009 - Live in Ukraine 2009 - Roger Taylor - "The Unblinking Eye (Everything Is Broken)" 2011 - "Keep Yourself Alive" (Long-Lost Retake) 2011 - (Remastered Deluxe Editions) - various LPs2011 - Roger Taylor -"Dear Mr Murdoch 2011" 2012 - Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe - Barcelona: Special Edition 2013 - Roger Taylor -"Sunny Day" (promo) 2013 - Roger Taylor - Fun on Earth 2014 - "Let Me in Your Heart Again" 2014 - "There Must Be More to Life Than This" (with Michael Jackson) 2014 - Live at the Rainbow '74 2015 - "Love Kills" (Ballad) 2015 - A Night at the Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 2016 - On Air 2017 - "We Are the Champions" (Raw Session Version) 2017 - Roger Taylor -"Journey's End" 2018 - Roger Taylor -"Christmas In Love" (With ZoaK) 2019 - Freddie Mercury - Never Boring 2019 - Roger Taylor -"That's Football" (With Petr Cech) 2019 - Freddie Mercury - "Time Waits For No One" 2019 - Roger Taylor -"Gangsters Are Running This World" 2020 - Roger Taylor -"Isolation" 2021 - Roger Taylor -"We're All Just Trying to Get By" (With KT Tunstall) 2021 - Roger Taylor - Outsider LP 2021 - Roger Taylor Outsider Tour i've removed the compilations from the above - there's still plenty to talk about. oh, and the item in blue - that covers lots of LPs - with plenty of previously unreleased tracks. as i said: we may not have got what we wanted, - like you, i've been disappointed, but that doesn't justify trying to repaint our disappointment with new releases as an absence of new releases. just ain't true. as i said - they're pretty active for an inactive band. To claim there's nothing to speak of (or "it's all Adam") is ( at best) inaccurate and (at worst) rewriting history.

They are not talking about solo projects. So, I can expect 3 or 4 episodes about Miracle, Innuendo and Freddie's Death, another one or two about the Tribute, 1 or 2 about Made In Heaven, 1 about No One But You... and after that, maybe one about the musical, another one or two about Q+PR and the rest Q+AL

My point was that even if there is all this stuff to talk about, Most of it isn't important enough to the Queen story. The live albums listed here are important (not the albums themselves, but the concerts are) but stuff like 'That's Football' or the retake of KYSA aren't. Also, Never once in my original reply did I say they aren't releasing anything new, What I said (or was trying to say) was essentially what I said above, but less descriptive and probably a bit mean (Which, if that's the case, I do apologize)

They are not talking about solo projects. you may be right, of course. but the truth is that the solo projects ARE part of the Queen story, because it's all relevant. "Queen 50" is very distinct from the Bo Rhap movie, in that one is about the band, whereas the other was a Freddie Mercury biopic. Logic would dictate that ALL of the solo projects are part of the Queen 50 story - and relevant, but you're probably right - QPL won't go there, why?: ♦ the Queen 50 YT thing is for the casual GH-buying fans, who seldom scrape below the (obvious) surface. ♦ diverting into solo projects and tours might actually require QPL to extend some effort beyond the usual "GH fodder piled high" - why bother when the target audience aren't even aware of this stuff?

That list is a bit dragged out. If one wished to discuss Deep Cuts, it would be at the header level, not spun out across 3 separate episodes.
LOVE kills ballad was on Queen Forever, wasn't it?
Etc etc.
I don't disagree with your underlying point, I just think you've been a bit cheeky with the evidence!

They literally went from the Magic Tour Straight to Innuendo! you've got to love how QPL seem hell-bent on proving the cynics to be right. 2021 Queen 50 & Queen: The Greatest:50: 50% effort put into any recognition of the milestone, by QPL The Greatest: The Greatest amount of return for the least amount of effort. That ^ my fellow fans, is the QPL Business Model - in a nutshell. Lamentably, we (by even hoping for different) do it (disappointment) to ourselves - we've only ourselves to blame.

What? They skipped on "The Miracle"?? Okay, so that's 2 albums they've skipped on. Jesus christ! I've stopped watching this shit ass series a long time ago. With the year now closing we can conclude that this was possibly one of the worst Queen years ever, to my opinion. The only positive is Roger's new album which i quite like and of course his solo tour which a lot of people enjoyed.

We all were hoping for some rare stuff, but all we get is Greatest Hits 1. They could easily have released some demos or outtakes for their hardcore fans, but they didn’t bother.

Aah well, it was nice to re-watch the Days Of Our Lives documentary because that's what it was, a re-hash of that documentary. This series has been a disgrace for the loyal Queen fans from day one and even skipping on two albums, Hot Space and The Miracle. Glad this shit is over.

I know this is controversial but Queen still haven't realised a career spanning compilation. Well not one down to 2-4 discs, many bands have done that now. Many hit songs are missed out on the Greatest Hits albums such as Tie Your Mother Down, Spread Your Wings, Body Langauge, Scandal and A Winter's Tale among others. I think realising an album with tracks from every album would be rather fitting for the 50th anniversary, I've got my ideas with how I would do it!
Please no ...
They have done Rocks, Forever and three Deep Cuts CDs already.

Least it’s over now, I guess there WAS more to talk about than Adam, so it seems I’ve been proven wrong.
Oh well, at least the fans know how to celebrate the band when they don’t seem bothered to..

When they call The Miracle the 16th album, are they referring to the original studio albuns, plus GH1, Live Killers and Live Magic? Cheers, Ogre-

I'm cautiously optimistic. Most of the mainstream live performances with official releases were covered in the original series, so I'm hoping that they can get into a little more of the niche here.
Information about rehearsals straight from the mouths of Brian and Roger sounds like a great start, but I'm hoping that we eventually get some new archival stuff down the road. A better look at the Bob Harris NOTW tour shoot would be nice.

For them to justify a whole new sub-series, they'd probably have to have a little more content than just what was in its predecessor. Obviously it'd be ridiculous to expect them to cover things like AUDs or Soundboards (though I'd love to be proven wrong), but I'm hoping this shows some Hammersmith '79, Tokyo 5/1, Earl's Court, etc. The filmed stuff that they don't often show official clips of.

I wouldn't want "new" clips in this, it would just get hopes up of an actual release.
Although that does beg the question - if they're going to spend the year creating n awareness of Queen as a live act, would that be purely to drive QAL ticket sales?

"Rare archive footage" Do other bands also qualify officially released footage as "rare archive footage"?
What Queen does, is very misleading imo.

Once it has been released it's no longer just "archive footage" but commercially available. Thus, it offers nothing new for all the people who know all the official stuff. It is misleading.
They'd be more accurate and honest if they'd say "with fragments of footage as seen on our various products and docus"
