Bought the signed set and the picture disc bundle, but I've been really wondering why I still feel the need to buy this crap. The Japanese Greatest Hits vinyl, this BTTL reissue. Not a single minute of new music and priced to the max.

'Brixton' must be a separate release, but what's the point to feature 4 live tracks from the show on BTTL bonus disc...? Stupidity? Are the live tracks all from Brixton? I thought on the Ressurection B sides (which I assume these are from), TMLWKY was from The Palace theater, Los Angeles, and TYMD was from an LA TV show. Also included was BTTL from the same TV show, absent here.

Kinda annoyed at that myself too. I lost out on the signed one (was sold out before I even got onto the store), but ended up getting the unsigned one... then realized they were priced the same amount. Oh well. So....by the time the ars**oles e-mailed regarding the limited set, it was sold out. £70 for the signed/ £70 for unsigned (how is that fair?) but now the scalpers have it on fleabay for £200-300+. They can royally f**k off now.

The picture disc being only available in a bundle with the CD/tape are the kind of selling tactics I'm getting really frustrated about.

I'm more surprised he finally decided to get his solo album back to the light (pun probably intended). At least I can finally put his version of TMLWKY on my Spotify playlist, so you can say for once, I'm satisfied.

**Accidental double post, but I'll use it to reply to this post:** OMG They're finally releasing the Moscow concert in audio. Now I'm excited! I wonder if the Live at Wembley LP is their Freddie Mercury Tribute gig. Edit: It is!

Although the contents are a bit disappointing and it's way overprice when compared to other artists boxsets, I just pre-ordered the collectors edition boxset from Amazon.fr. There it was the lowest price I could find and I really want to feel the joy of unboxing such a collectors item again. I might pick up the 2CD edition later on for convenience reasons.
However, again a missed opportunity from the QP camp.
Us still buying it, isn't helping to prevent such below par releases in the future, though...

Don’t know if anyone has seen the extensive extras on the Metallica box set announced today, but one stood out to me on one of the DVDs - ‘rehearsal day with Queen’.

I'm just happy we finally get to stream his music. Really don't care about the physical release tbh, maybe will pick up the regular vinyl later.

Also included was BTTL from the same TV show, absent here. Brixton Academy:39 / Let Your Heart Rule Your Head - Live Version Last Horizon - Live Version We Will Rock You - Live Version Los Angeles:Too Much Love Will Kill You Tie Your Mother Down Stupid that BTTL live at the Tonight Show is absent. Also missing I'm Scared original version from TMLWKY single and Love Token Explicit Version from the sampler CD which I forgot the name of. Also missing the (pointless) radio edit from the 'Last Horizon' CD-single, Resurrection single version and the several promotional edits of DBY. About the Brixton tracks: '39/Let Your Heart Rule Your Head' and 'We Will Rock You' were edited on the original LP/MC/CD album, while on the 'Last Horizon' single they were unedited versions, which are probably the versions present on this bonus disc. The unedited versions were also present on the Brixton VHS release, which contained more unedited versions of tracks that were edited for the LP/MC/CD release of Brixton to get under the 80 minutes (BTTL shortened, TYMD shortened, LT ending shortened, 39/LYHRYH chorus repeat deleted, WWRY final chord shortened, keyboard intro for SYBG deleted completely. Strangely the spoken intro for LOML was edited out of the VHS release but remained on the LP/MC/CD). Talking about the Brixton release: I saw it on Spotify about a month ago with all tracks greyed out, which means not (yet) available, so a Brixton release is definately planned. Hopefully this will include a Bluray/DVD-release as well. Also I was hoping for an unedited audio version this time, but it looks like the same edited versions will be used unfortunately.

'Tie Your Mother Down' with Slash appearance is from The Tonight Show, which was located in LA as well.

Would that be this video or something different? Edit: sorry for being off topic, I didn't notice the thread about it, I'll head on over there

There are some strange (ie. wrong) credits on the QOL site, too. I wonder if they made it into the actual release. Rollin' Over credited to Brian TMLWKY credited correctly twice then just to Brian for the live version For some reason more people were involved in writing the guitar version of NBB than the album version - All four authors are credited on Queenpedia for the album version
Maybe I'm just confused.

Against my better judgement, I ended up ordering the limited box set. Even though I already have most (if not all) the tracks in my collection, my OCD caused me to get the box set. It's going to end up costing me around $140 Canadian, which is ridiculous, really. I would have happily paid that amount for the signed version as I don't have any of the bands signatures on anything, but I keep missing out on the limited offers (although, it seems those signed bundles may have only been for the UK anyways). Sigh. Oh well... Heads up that on Amazon.co.uk the box set shows up as £69.99 GBP but when you actually put it in the cart and put the order through, it comes to £58.32+£16.91(shipping)+£8.70(import fees) for a total of £83.93 to Canada with 2-4 day shipping with tracking. If you order through the Queenonline store it's £81.39 with standard delivery (up to 20 days, no tracking) or £95.19 for courier shipping with tracking, so Amazon ends up being a better deal. I do a lot of online shopping, and the only parcel that never made it to my door was an order from the Queenonline Store, so it's a cursed site for me. Also, there's a chance the price can dip on Amazon as it started off at £63 earlier in the day, and you'll get the cheaper price if you pre-order now and the price dips again. All that said, I might end up cancelling if I come to my senses. If you're looking for an easier way of getting a Brian May autograph without paying lots of money on auction sites, try his stereoscopic store, as they've been offering deals with signed bookplates. Just know that they ship DHL to Canada, so you'll pay £25 shipping for a book, and then DHL will ding you for another $30 CAD once it arrives in North America. shop.londonstereo.com/

As I'm more a streamer now I guess I'll be happy with my original release CD. But I'm tempted to buy the vinyl, just because I've sort of got into vinyl again after 25+ years!

Oh dear.
More interesting Brian May material on Metallica archive releases than Brian May ones.
Hugely happy for the streamers that can now use their data allowances to get low quality streams of this material, the vinyl fetishists, and those whose first response has been "TAKE MY MONEY!!!" but are now wondering why...
Not going near this with a bargepole.
Brian May Gold Series? Gold spray-painted...

Brian May is asking for feedback on this reissue on his instagram. There are about 300 comments from people saying that it is a real wonder. So it doesn't surprise me that they do this kind of launch. I have already expressed my discontent in the post, without bad words, only expressing what the vast majority of us here think about the latest movements of queen productions. I encourage you to do the same, because if we complain in these forums but they do not have a comment about it, it is not surprising that they continue to re-release greatest hits with a cardboard and on cassette.

The problem is that many of the people who think it's a great release possibly weren't born when it was first released, and some may not even have heard the album. They certainly wouldn't have all the CD singles from it, so for them, I expect it's a treasure trove.

I´m gonna be a little bit rude here... At least 50% of the comments on Brian´s IG would if Brian made a video farting...I´m sure that someone even would say that he makes them in tune... As you have said... This release is not for "old" fans... You (we) are tired of this material and a big % won´t spend a single penny on these....

"We’ve unearthed a few outtakes and bits and pieces, and I’m writing some new retrospective liner notes." What a joke this has become....... Exactly. This is why they are not getting my money. I can make it with my original 1992 release and all the CD singles. I don't need / want this new release at all, and I am not supporting it in any way.
