Here’s my prediction for disc 2:
At a minimum: Business (Rock On Cozy mix) Another World (single mix) Hot Patootie FBI Only Make Believe Maybe Baby On My Way Up (Live In Paris) Hammer To Fall (Live In Paris) Brian Talks (A Tribute To Cozy Powell) Otro Lugar (Another World en español)
Should be included and maybe will be though I could see them not being included: Il Colosso What Are We Made Of The Amazing Spider-Man Business and On My Way Up (original Frank Stubbs versions) Why Don’t We Try Again (promo edit) Cyborg (original video game mixes) My Boy (released in ‘99 on a charity CD — Lullabies With a Differences I think – but recorded ca. ‘80-82, so in terms of release chronology it fits but not recording chronology)
Would be nice to be included but probably won’t be: His Latest Flame Teasin’ Around Dream of Thee (I doubt he’ll rerelease Furia but this song deserves wider recognition) One Rainy Wish original mix
Pie in the sky: Albert Hall Il Colosso demo No One But You demo (the album was originally going to be a covers album called Heroes, hence the three covers on the album and the others across various singles, with NOBY the album closer but then he gave Roger his demo and it became a Queen song, I’m sure we all know that but whatever) Being On My Own full version (no idea if one exists but who knows)

Albert Hall video is the #1 for me. A proper audio recording from the tour is #2
regardless, it'll be nice to finally get the album on vinyl. Didn't have a player at the time, so I didn't bother...

The interesting thing about this is that Brian doesn't want to revisit the Queen catalogue, looking forward etc., but spends a ton of time and hype on two albums that if we're honest, wouldn't get any type of revisionist treatment if the performers name weren't Brian May. BTTL and AW are for the hardest core Queen fan and collectively likely sold a tenth or some lowly fraction of whatever the worst selling Queen album was, yet he's spending time and energy on finding outtakes and things for something the general public has zero interest in, yet no time and energy on the stuff the general public is clamouring for ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Just makes no sense that we get the argument we don't want to look back so the answer is Queen's Greatest Hits volume 93 or the same setlist because throwing in It's Late or Spread your wings would ruin the set, yet Brian is looking back at his back catalogue that I would guess has an audience of 1 or 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 where Queen's audience would be a 10.

He isn't, though, spending much time and effort on these, as all he's doing is gathering up stuff that's been previously released, so no real effort at all. This will appeal to 'new' fans who probably weren't around when the albums were originally released, but yet again, like any big corporation, QPL doesn't give a stuff about people who've supported it from the beginning. Just a thought, but maybe as it doesn't really involve the other band members, it's easier for him to put his own solo stuff out, than have arguments with Roger over what archive Queen material gets released, and having to run everthing past John. Less cogs in the wheel, so to speak?

Without knowing how much time and effort, with Brian it is something that he was pretty passionate about. So even if it was a week of his time spent on BTTL reissue (video shoot would take at least one day for shooting), it was still ultimately time and effort on an old project that virtually no one in the world was asking for and it disappeared after good first week of sales, never to be spoken about again. IMHO to say that the Queen catalogue, which is exponentially greater and more important in the history of music than anything Brian will ever do as a solo artist, doesn't deserve a look back while his solo career gets attention and a shiny new sticker makes zero sense to me. And I say this as a huge Brian fan and knowing he has likely done something this morning greater than I have in my life

^^That's kinda weird though. Does Brian take the tube? If true, does he go around looking for lost instruments? If someone else did, why resort to him of all people? Does he really have the time to deal with such things?
I understand being kind and wanting to give it back, and there's probably nothing strange about it, but how exactly did the guitar find the way to him?
What if... he took the guitar thinking it was lost, then realised he unwittingly stole it from some underground beggar that was pooping and now wants nothing to do with it? Hmmm...

The public is clamouring for? Sorry, but old Queen outtakes, demos and that kind of stuff are as much for the hardcore Queen fans as solo albums. The reason we keep getting GH re-releases is because that is what the general public wants. Most people attending QAL concerts would really rather listen to Radio Ga Ga than It's Late, we're the noisy exception rather than the rule. As someone who was a kid in the 90s (and a financially stable adult nowadays), I can tell you there are people benefiting from the solo re-releases. All I ever had from their solo careers were Roger's 80s records + a Freddie compilation dug from flea markets. Now I'm having the chance to at last buy Brian's stuff and I'm really happy. Bonus stuff or no bonus stuff, I'm glad I can collect his records (and brand new too!) and legally listen to them on Spotify when I'm jogging or driving.

I was at the Abert Hall gig too. I believe it just wasn't a very good performance that night. I recall (it'll be on a bootleg) that they played a song for the recently departed Cozy (Since You've Been Gone?) but Brian forget to do the dedication until a few songs later. Nightmare editing job there!!! Best we can hope for is perhaps a selection of audio only??

There was ultimately little that could compete with the Brixton show, so the project was shelved.
With all due respect to Eric Singer (a killer drummer and a lovely man) - without Cozy Powell it just wasn't the same band anymore. Pretty sure Brian only did the tour because it was booked and he had to.

Pretty sure Brian only did the tour because it was booked and he had to. Yeah, Cozy's death took the wind out of his sails. I honestly think if he had stuck to the semi-acoustic set for the whole tour, as he had on the promotional dates, and brought the superb Steve Ferrone along (provided he wasn't otherwise booked), it would've been a wildly different and daring approach, while also being a tribute, in a way, to Cozy: you can get any flashy, technically competent drummer (I don't know much about Eric Singer, but he certainly plays drums) to play Cozy's parts, but there's none better than him, so why even try?

To be fair, Eric Singer is a VERY capable drummer He’s more than capable – I gave some of the 98 live shows another spin lately and he does an admirable job in honoring Cozy while throwing his own spin on it. Hat tip to Bob for inspiring me to give it another listen. Funny how something you didn’t care for years ago can be seen in a whole new light with the benefit of age.

Cheers folks - Bri So do we think it's a promo for Wilderness?? If so, how do we think this will be used? It's a track I like, but I don't see it as the 'popular' choice for a 'single'? I'll appreciate any extra promo video content that Brian makes of course. I'd be most interested to see a single release of the title track - which I think was a single in the Netherlands only. I seem to remember BM mentioning how it had been a significant turning point for his songwriting. It is a stunning song I feel and a somewhat different departure for Brian. Anyway, any guesses for which songs from AW will get a new promo video? Thanks

Wilderness wasn’t a single anywhere – a shame, as it is indeed a stellar song.
I’d bet the video is the title track, which was a European single.
