They've changed the start of AKOM a bit. I thought they were going to do the Highlander version until it kicked in. Is the lighting not quite so spectacular as on the last tour? Also, an observation - Brian seems to be using a different guitar. Perhaps one rigged for the rockets? They seem a little 'bigger' than on the previous tour, so perhaps it wasn't practical to use his normal guitar? AKOM's performance continues to use the green replica model made by Guyton from last year's European tour. In the early days of QAL, it was used in FBG performances for drop tuning. Brian would never have let the Red Special be handled roughly even in the Play the Game mv, so he would never have installed a pyrotechnic launcher 🤣. It's funny how you misremember things. I don't remember him not using the Red Special for it last time, and I also don't remember the 'gentle' first verse, but it seems they were doing it this way in 2022 as well. ☺️

I didn't understand it because I only listened to the audio in the streaming, but when I watched the video back later, I felt that the last Machines_▶︎GaGa wasn't so bad.
Brian May confronts the army of androids, and with a shout of "Back to human," he stirs a swing of his Red Special, and a bright flash of red annihilates the army of androids.
......... That's exactly the kind of production Brian May would love. lol

This is the official setlist from yesterday, Baltimore 1. It doesn’t have Save Me on it. The other setlist was from one of the rehearsals. source: @escorpio on Twitter

I'd love to be able to sit and watch it all, but will have to do it bit by bit. As much as the band are fantastic, I think the video screens are amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anything like them, and they really do add to the show. I so wish they'd release one of these shows (or the ones last year) on Bluray. It would seem such a wasted opportunity when they've basically already got one in the can (the livestream), if it doesn't emerge at some point.

From the looks of it, the rest of the stage and the screens have been there since the start of the Rhapsody Tour. The possibilities, that all the screens offer, are pretty much endless. I just got the impression that one thing is new: Did the stage get drenched in glitter? All the railings and the stairs looked silver in the new videos.

The other thing that's different is that this show is about 20-25 minutes shorter than the Rhapsody shows. That is, assuming this video is the complete thing. Got to be honest, I'd prefer one of the more recent shows on Blu-ray, rather than one from 2018. I think Adam sounds so much better on the last tour, and has lost most of that screechiness he had in the early days. His voice now is just about perfect.

I would be more than happy about ANY official DVD/Blu-ray release of any complete concert. Just one. They filmed the concerts 2014 in Sydney. These are in the archives, but according to the band they weren’t completely happy with that. Then they supposedly filmed one of the later shows in England 2015 (Sheffield?). But accordingly the sound mix with the audience had been too loud. Then London 2018. So they have filmed several shows with the intention to release them, but all that we got was „Live Around The World“. Don’t understand me wrong, I‘m completely happy and thankful for that release. I mean, at least we got anything after years of waiting. But in essence that DVD is a puzzle of performances from different years, mostly from festivals, that were originally aired live and therefore had already been available on YouTube for years. Only that Queen deleted them all from their official channel, when they decided to release the DVD. Then they added a handful of songs from the 2018 concert in London and that’s it. They put all the love in creating these magnificent shows, but they don’t use the possibility to make them available for everyone to see and later rewatches 😢. I‘ve heard more than one person asking for a CD or DVD of the show at the merchandise stands over the years. The demand is there. About Adam’s singing: You’re correct that it did change more and more over the years, but 2018 was already pretty far from the 2012 and 2014/15 performances. And he also looked very good at that concert, I have to say. 😎 So yes, I would like to get that 2018 release. But in the end, I would be happy with any full concert, that is not from a festival and therefore includes their stage settings.🤘

I‘m not sure, if that’s really the case. There had been longer shows, yes. But when I look at the setlist, then I don’t really see a difference? Adam’s speech had been much longer until yesterday and sometimes the band intros had been very long as well. The Rhapsody started 2019 extremely long (about 2 hours 45 min.), but got shortened pretty quick. They abbreviated several songs, played more medleys, shortened the band introduction and more. The usual length is about 2 hours 15min I would say. So if they put Save Me on the setlist, they will have that. Without any lengthy stretches in the show!

They have always been about visual effects on stage, but never before have they been as exciting as this one. (Maybe it's because I originally liked the Machines' worldview.)
Like the Brian May vs. the Machines battle at the end, or A Kind Of Magic, which has been going on since last year. I think the performance of sitting on the dresser and singing Killer Queen is suitable for multiple angles.
Although it is only the first day of the tour, there are already many performances that I would like to see preserved as a video record. The tour itself features The Works, which will celebrate its anniversary next year, and I would be happy if they are planning some kind of commercialization, including a disc version of this tour.

I can't get my head around Radio Gaga as an opener. For me, a Queen show opening is explosive and, historically, songs in that mold have been selected as show openers. Gaga is just a bit too pedestrian for me. It seems like they've shoehorned it in as an opener just to accommodate the visuals. Also, I almost cried when I realised what they'd done to the start of Tie Your Mother Down haha. I remember Brian doing a version like this (although it was more blues infused) back in the late 90's. I was so glad that they kicked into the 'proper' version then.
I'm overjoyed that these guys are still playing so I won't be too critical, but it would have been nice to see a few other 'non hits' songs played. Since I last saw them last year they've dropped Tear it up, seven seas, keep yourself alive and lap of the Gods which is sad.

Full concert videos or longer sections of the show get always pulled. That’s why I download them immediately, if I really want to watch them.

I’ve been to the first two shows and they’re tightening up some parts (as you’d expect). Most noticeably is the segue into Hammer To Fall. Something must have happened on night one to get the extended intro and no action on the B stage. At the start of TSMGO, though, Adam didn’t get into the additional jacket. I’m not sure what was going on but he didn’t let go of the mic so the wardrobe person couldn’t help him get the jacket on. All that while the stagehands were, judging by his face, slow to remove the stools from ITTWWC. I enjoy these quirks and, for me, add to the show. The band is amazing and sound better than ever. I can’t wait for more shows!
Warning to anyone front and center at the end of the catwalk: there will be camera people running around and blocking your view for a good portion of the show. I hope they do something about that or there are going to be some very angry people. Thankfully I’m not too short.

I‘ve been at the end of the catwalk once in 2018 and 2022. Depending on where you’re standing, there will be the camera for the video screens in front of you. It’s carried around though and not always at the same place. But it has its position, where it’s more often. But there are also members of the security team in front of you. Or at the start of the show some photographers from the press, who put themselves right at the end/center of the catwalk, so that the fans with these seats haven’t a good view until they’re gone. That’s how it is. But the stage as that is pretty high, so this had never been a real problem - as long as you’re standing.

Shame they dropped the extended intro to Hammer to Fall. I quite liked that! That said, if that was unplanned on the first night, it shows how bloody good they are!

Queen + Adam Lambert have completed the first night of their Rhapsody Across America tour with a show at the 14,000-capacity CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, MD. The band completed a five-act set that included a raft of hit singles as well as solos from Roger Taylor and Brian May, and a debut performance of Is This the World We Created...? from frontman Lambert. The band have released a number of official photos from the show (see link). www.loudersound.com/news/queen-adam-lambert-first-night-photos

Gaga is just a bit too pedestrian for me. It doesn't help that - for me, anyway - I've never liked how Lambert sings it. I'm no hater, but it's the one song where I really miss Freddie's power and phasing.

I'm just being paranoid, but I think the plan to use Machine/Radio Ga Ga as the opener was in 1984.
What we are being shown now could be Plan B for The works tour.

did anyone capture the complete video that was taken down?
as for official release; seems odd that the london stream from last year was made for a one-week-only, stream-only
at the very least I thought they'd put it out in the usual formats.
Live around in world is very patchy and anything but cohesive. The complete London 2018 would probably have been a better choice

did anyone capture the complete video that was taken down? If they did, unfortunately it couldn't be shared here as YouTube have removed it due to a copyrights claim by Universal. We did have a discussion about this, but even though it's not official material, once removed from YouTube, it's deemed too risky to have download links posted here.

It's been a long time since QAL did this song, but Adam has been doing it all along in his own solo shows? I think it's a difficult song to just sing, but it's much more polished.

I remember mentioning somewhere on this forum before the tour started that it would be difficult for Roger to play the drums for SCC now. In fact, many of the songs on last year's tour were slightly slower tempo, and many of the songs he sang vocals on were dropped, suggesting physical limitations.
But this performance reminds me how disrespectful that was. Sorry Roger...

Yes, Adam performed SSC on his solo concerts throughout the past years. If you’re curious about how this sounds, check this video out. It’s from his concert in The Royal Albert Hall in London in J7ne, earlier this year. The sound is pretty good on this and his band wasn’t too bad, I might say. youtu.be/EkCcNDO0A9k?si=_49QIZu1kcc6V1aY

The songs he sang vocals on were only dropped for 1-2 weeks during the tour, while Roger had been a bit sick and his voice had been affected by that. But I told that already. This tour Roger is even back with a drum solo. I think we haven`t seen that for a while. Unfortunately I can’t find a video of IILWMC so far. Only an intro that shows some new big round lights above Roger. This is the drum solo from Baltimore (although probably not the whole thing, because I can’t see his younger self on the back screen, like in some pictures that we‘ve seen before).
