Wow! The shows in San Francisco must have been especially fantastic (judging by the comments on social media). Also Roger’s daughter Lola participated in the backing vocals on ‘39. And Adam might have hit a new record on holding a note for 23 seconds. His „Loooooooooooooooooooooooooord“ on Somebody To Love was endless! How much lung capacity does this man have? 😳

Queen and Adam Lambert were joined by some very special guests when they brought the Rhapsody Tour to Dallas last weekend, in the form of the world famous Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad. Reprising a show-stopping spectacular they first pulled off in July 2019, the rock legends shared the stage of the American Airlines Center with 25 cheerleaders during their performance of 1978 single Fat Bottomed Girls on November 3, at the second of their two shows in the city. The track was song number number six on the band's 26-song setlist on the night. "Thank you Dallas for some great new memories," guitarist Brian May wrote afterwards on X. "Thank you lovely DCC ladies. What a blast !!!" http://instagram.com/p/CzPBrxcrNKr www.loudersound.com/news/watch-queen-perform-fat-bottomed-girls-with-the-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders

Well at least the cheer leaders woke the crowd up a bit ! I don't get the American fans they don't seem to be able let themselves go and really go wild ! I mean this is Queen + AL we are talking about they might not get the chance to see them again. I remember a interview many years ago with Roger and he said back then that American crowds are very laid back and a bit harder to please than other countries that they were touring. The great man himself ,Freddie got a bit frustrated when they filmed "We Will Rock You" which became "Live In Montreal" in front of a Canadian crowd. By saying "If you guy's want to move around a bit it's okay, you can take all your clothes off ,if you want it doesn't matter !" I remember seeing Queen in 79 and then in 80 at the NEC Birmingham and the crowd went crazy from the start to the finish. I was a sweaty mess after both these concerts.

The Montreal case is different though. After all, the band chose to film at the Forum Montreal because the audience was so enthusiastic before. The director of the film, Saul Swimmer, apparently told them before filming to stay mostly quiet so they were reserved because of that so Freddie, in his typical way, tried to let them know that the band does not care about tight security and all of that, they want them to particpate as much as they want to.

Seems a bit odd to be told to keep quiet during the filming of a show ,I would have thought that they would want the opposite, so to give people an idea of how a Queen show really is. I know the band didn't really care for camera men being so close to them and it took time for the band to relax a little bit.

Well, the director clearly had no idea of how a Queen show went himself which led to quite the tension behind the scenes (which Brian and Roger also commented on for the commentary which was released in 2007 I think). Saul also ordered the band to play the exact same set, wear the exact same clothes AND do the exact same moves at both shows as if Queen shows where choreographed, so he could cut in between shows without issues. Of course, that was pretty much against everything the band wanted, so they were pretty pissed which affected the performance, led to Freddie's obviously angry attitude and the band playing "Jailhouse Rock" only during the first night while Freddie changed to the brief shorts during the second night just to screw with Saul Swimmer

Brian wearing my favourite NBA team's jersey?! Wow, I'd have never guessed. I found two more photos: Are there any more photos of Brian in that jersey?

Now that the tour is over and I've managed to see seven (!I can't believe it!) shows, I can confirm that the band truly did get better every night - somehow. They grew tighter and seemed to enjoy themselves more and more. We were right up against the B stage for every show. As someone else noted too, it's great to be able to see their faces when something goes wrong (yeah, and the rest of the show ), especially when the rest of the audience might not have any idea. Those moments really make the show for me. As for the audiences, I wouldn't say any of them were lackluster. There may not have been as much clapping as I would have liked (or what you would find in other countries) but everyone was INTO the show. These crowds made some amazing noises for the band. If you can find a clip of Adam's into of Brian and Roger at the first Baltimore show, you'll see how long the roar was. Now to figure out how to get to Japan...

Yes, I love it to be right there as well. Even if it means that you can’t fully take in the whole light and video show. But to look at there faces and be close is better! Have you by chance been at the show, where they skipped „Tie Your Mother Down?“ In the video on YouTube it looked as if it was a mistake by Brian. After Under Pressure, without further ado, Brian enthusiastically started playing the first notes of CLTCL. Adam and Roger looked surprised, first at Brian (who was concentrated on his music 😂), then at each other, they shrugged and played along. And so TYMD was dropped that night. If you hadn’t known, you wouldn’t have noticed, that something was wrong.

Brian also messed up the intro of ITTWWC during the Denver show but so elegantly fixed his mistake that i doubt someone actually noticed, i noticed the reaction of Adam's face and it showed how cool they are between eachother. True chemistry.
I filmed it but Universal Music and YouTube suspended my channel because I uploaded some video's so I can't really share.

I was right up against the B stage at MSG #2 and one of my favorite things was watching Adam and Roger watch each other during Under Pressure. They're all having so much fun, even Brian seems so much more relaxed than he ever did in the older days. They're at a point now where they wouldn't be doing it if they didn't love it.

I wonder that sometimes, too, but I have a feeling that tens of thousands of people cheering for you every night helps stave off the boredom.
