I wonder what else is coming - I hope Vagabonds...is the first in a series of forthcoming surround releases. If they can do Vagabonds, surely they can do Jailbreak and some of the other bigger albums I have heard rumblings that more archival releases are on the way, no idea what they might be though! supposedly there is a road map for the next couple of years, in terms of what releases are coming. if the last couple of years is anything to go by, it should be good! |

I agree there ought be an ongoing roadmap - the record company will surely insist on it, even if it's generalised to "a release in the second half of each year".
We know Greg and co have worked on a number of concepts over the years, so there's probably best part of ten projects at 80-90% release-ready.
Which ones QPL and the record company agree on in any given year is an absolute lottery

I'd be willing to bet 2 out of three of the sources for those rumbiings are this very board. We've become an ourobourus. Nope. I’m thinking mostly of a couple of guys who’ve actually worked on some of these recent Lizzy releases that occasionally post on various other sites and have shown before to have the inside track on what’s going on. |

IMHO the European leg of The Works tour in 1984 was so much better than the 1985 part. I'd certainly prefer one of those shows to be released, but all of us here know better than to have high hopes. The Japanese leg is definitely better than the European leg, much tighter all around. Far less hair, as well. Though I'm partial to meaty Italian legs. Gals of course If they choose to revisit THE WORKS, it would be absolutely stellar if they included the original configuration with MAN ON FIRE and also tossed in the studio sessions with Bowie, assuming they got Rolling Stones clearances. I'd love to hear that stuff. Not too fond of the Works Tour setlist... Even with GKR appearing and last SCC with Freddie, the presentation was big, but I don't ever want to see Brian in that spandex again. |

The fact that Queen I and Queen II were the only ones to be updated is VERY peculiar. Lines up with the rumblings of a QI/QII joint boxset. This and the John Anthony situation have me convinced that something's going on. |

the fact that Rock Montreal will be out on may, it's a posibility that we will have something more at the end of the year. Normally Queen release stuff at the end of the year, one of the few times that they released something at mid year was in 2022, when they release Platinum COllection in June, and finally in octobre we had the Miracle box, so, there's a great posibility this year to have another box

The fact that Queen I and Queen II were the only ones to be updated is VERY peculiar. Lines up with the rumblings of a QI/QII joint boxset. This and the John Anthony situation have me convinced that something's going on. I don't mean to be finicky but it's kind of hard to compare these two images . . given the size difference ? And what is "the John Anthony situation' ? |

Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen that happen, or heard about that happening anyway. |

To add to this- the reason that John shared this story in the first place, was because he had a dream about Freddie, and the day after, he got the email from Roger. I haven't started the audio side of my restoration for this album yet, but worked on the artwork nearly a year ago and this was the exact scan I used as my starting point. I definitely don't recall seeing that variation of the Queen II cover before though. Could be new? I made mine from scratch, due to the rotation of their photo on existing digital versions being inaccurate compared to the original. This newer (🤞) one looks to be spot on as far as that's concerned. Only thing different about it now is the text being lower |

well, who says QPL never do anything special? - well, me actually, but this time I'm so wrong. Queen have announced a special download-only release - available for today only. Adam Lambert + Queen - Decadesto celebrate the 50th anniversary of Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack and the 40th anniversary of The Works, Queen have re-recorded all Queen & solo singles originally released in 1974, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2014, and an extra-special 2024 re-recording of a classic Queen song.  |

A detail I picked up, not one the first, but on the second viewing was the choice of artist name for it.
