I guess Hyde Park is going to be tomorrow's episode. They have a big opportunity to show something we haven't seen officially. I have no expectations.

No Hyde Park in ep 7. They took a look at Roger's biggest five penned hits. Again, no new unseen footage and very short. It's over before it even started. If the band is trying to push the hardcore fanbase away, they're doing a very good job.

I think these videos are aimed at the new generation of Queen fans, especially the ones who became interested after the movie. For those, who were there when it all happened, this is not essential. My impression is, that most everything is already published officially and unofficially, so I don't expect anything.

Not even bothering watching these anymore, just disliking straight away. Surely if enough of us do that QP will get the message?

Couldn't they just re-edit the Days Of Our Lives documentary and make it a long three hour version with all the deleted scenes added and perhaps make a new section at the end for Q+AL?

A 'Behind The Hits - Freddie Mercury', 'Behind The Hits - Brian May', and 'Behind The Hits - John Deacon' are definitely going to happen.

If the band is trying to push the hardcore fanbase away, they're doing a very good job. This approach was sadly confirmed by Greg Brooks in his recent interview on the Queen Pod. When asked about previous anthology plans and any plans to release ‘proper’ deluxe box sets of each (or at least the majority of) the studio albums, he openly said that they considered it, but the fact that an album like Queen II has only one single on wouldn’t appeal to the general public browsing the racks in HMV, so they binned that thinking. We only got the NOTW box due to WATC/WWRY. Whilst we’ve known it for years it’s still sad to hear it so bluntly that - despite Brian always protesting that he’d love Queen to be regarded as an album band - they just can’t see any musical legacy, integrity and fan/wider music fan interest benefit in releasing box sets of albums on unless they have general wider appeal to the very casual music buyer, and it IS all about the business and the money. What a shame, in every sense.

What a shame, in every sense. Unfortunately, as you say, we've kind of known, or at least, suspected this for years. But things can change, and unless I'm mistaken, Greg Brooks doesn't control what Brian and Roger want to release. After the Q+AL tours have run their courses, they may decide they've nothing better to do than to rake through the archives and put something out.

I’m just praying to god that at the end of the year they realease a something and just maybe throw imperial college on as bonus. I don’t think it’s big enough for a sole release.
Or they could give us what we really want. Live Magic & Rare Live 2 In 1 Reissue

Oh boy, nearly half way into the year of our favorite band's semicentennial, and not only is there nothing of note to mark the occasion, but there aren't even any rumors. Aside from the YouTube 3.5 minute videos every Friday, it's been kind of silent.
Having said this, we do usually see the Queen-related releases towards the end of the year, around November, but I was yawning again that the band decided to release the Live Around the World for Record Store Day this go around.
Are there any good items on eBay, at least, to fill an unnecessary void?
I kind of like the old Elektra promotional items myself.

Fairly sure that whole soundcheck is on CMI's YT channel... not sure as to the original source, but it's not as rare as QPL are making it out to be.

Something positive about episode 8, I love that the video is in 16:9 format, rather than the official 4:3.

Well in that case I have no idea why they're calling it rare... it's literally officially released material.

Something positive about episode 8, I love that the video is in 16:9 format, rather than the official 4:3. isn't it just a 4:3 crop and 133% resize? this kind of re-resolution seldom works well. look at the position of the piano, stage monitor and gong, the stage lights have also disappeared. make it look like they're performing in the local social club rather than Hammy Odeon. I prefer the original 4:3 - so much better to look at this is a screenshot of the same section of Liar - there's just ½-sec difference between the two shots.

Obviously these episodes are aimed for 14 million people who subscribe to the YT channel, not for 1400 people here (only 0,1%). Which is fine and understandable. But the thumbnail for the latest episode is a very bad joke. Is it that hard to flip this photo, so Brian doesn't appear to be playing left-handed?

In the new Spotify interview, very depressing to hear both Roger and Brian - when asked how they feel about the 50th anniversary - very quickly and vehemently say the quicker the anniversary passes the better, and that neither of them want to celebrate it or do anything to commemorate it.

Today's episode was on 'Somebody to Love'. More of the same nonsense really, a few interviews pasted on top of the music video, and brief snippets of Milton Keynes '82 and the Tribute Concert. Nothing we've not seen before.
