Today's episode was on 'Somebody to Love'. More of the same nonsense really, a few interviews pasted on top of the music video, and brief snippets of Milton Keynes '82 and the Tribute Concert. Nothing we've not seen before. Hyde Park will never come to Queen Greatest lmaoo

I decided to stop watching. They will continue to feature the same crap over and over again. Shame that Roger and Brian piss on this milestone.

Could one of the mods rename this thread The Weekly Moan? Nope, there’s nothing here to justify that.

To be honest, this thread is about as pointless as the videos people are moaning about, but at least it keeps all the moaning in one place! 😄

They're still doing that fake widescreen crap?! isn't it great? They also called the performance flawless, despite the band almost train-wrecking on the un-edited audio Yeah that and, to a lesser extent, forgetting to do one of their biggest hits up until Bo Rhap, Seven Seas of Rhye, during the main set.

Again with the flipped thumbnail... I think this is because the logo has to be on the left so it’s not obscured by the time stamp and it fits in better with flipped screen caps. And a lovely Queen in concert 78 poster to order too 🙄

Hyde Park will never come to Queen Greatest lmaoo The same as 1975 japanese tour. You'd think they would make a video about the tour for an area that basically lived and breathed Queen, Like they even played longer shows for them!

In the new Spotify interview, very depressing to hear both Roger and Brian - when asked how they feel about the 50th anniversary - very quickly and vehemently say the quicker the anniversary passes the better, and that neither of them want to celebrate it or do anything to commemorate it. Here's a link to that for anyone interested. It's episode 24 of Rock This with Allison Hagendorf. This link should take you straight to the start of the BM & RT interview at 32:24. open.spotify.com/episode/4fz8vWfWU0Uk4QBqrxd1sg?si=5EwL6CTbTk-hyq6P4AZgJw&utm_source=copy-link&t=1954

As part of the 50th anniversary, on May 19th the 2011 deluxe 2-cd editions of the studio albums will be re-released in Japan as a special limited edition release. Apparently the 2-disc editions have been out of print and hard to get. Each album will also come with a random trading card, with 50 trading cards in all to collect. Record stores in Japan are now putting up Queen displays as the deluxe 2-CD editions of the 2011 remasters have been re-released. The obi are almost completely identical to the ones released in 2011, with the only changes being things like the Island logo replaced with EMI, the 40th anniversary Queen crest replaced with the standard Queen crest, and little things of that nature. Here are the 50 images that were chosen for the 50 trading cards that are randomly given to customers as a bonus (one card per album): Here's card #50, front and back: The caption on the back reads: "The photo is thought to be John performing on stage in 1986, based on the Precision bass he is playing with a natural body finished in black." I believe you can't buy them from Amazon.co.jp, as they are sticking with the single disc editions with the "mega jacket" (large reproduction of the cover art on poor quality paper) bonus from last year.

Not sure if this has been posted here before, but in 1976 the band Sixpence did a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody and this was recorded by someone:

Latest episode - Hyde Park. Is the BBC footage unreleased, I've never come across it before?

Today's video is about Hyde Park '76, though everything shown is cropped down to 16:9 of course I know the Sweet Lady footage is on the ANATO Classic Albums DVD (also cropped) and sync'd up to the album track on the ANATO 30th Anniversary DVD (uncropped). Does anyone remember if the snippet of Ogre Battle is available already in this quality? What I find most interesting is mention and brief showing of 16mm film footage from a TV news report on the concert. Is this new or already out there? I don't see it mentioned on Queenlive.ca EDIT: n39 beat me to the punch and was much more concise

Makes me wonder if they don't want to release it due to Freddie's outfit! Doesn't exactly leave much to the imagination. 😁

It's incredible, maybe one of my fav episodes, but they used my vid of Hyde Park from Sweet Lady, i deduced it because, there is in a better quality the vid of Sweet Lady while mine has not the best... So QPL being QPL again

Yeah! I also liked how they showed RARE footage, even if it's just an alternate angle!

The small bits of BoRap was an alternate angle, am I right? And it seems parts of the 76' Brian interview was also clearer then the previous OGWT compilation.

My favourite one yet. I was hoping for a QPL upscale if You Take My Breath Away, but the unseen BBC footage is great!!!!
