Makes me wonder if they don't want to release it due to Freddie's outfit! Doesn't exactly leave much to the imagination. đ But they've released two other 70s shows which feature skin-tight clothing. Plus Rock Montreal with the short hot pants.

It's all those leotards, they're just too hot for the general public to handle.

The Hyde Park episode was great, quality of the video aside. It was well discussed and their selection of footage was exciting. Hoping for more like that!
I actually liked the Somebody To Love episode. Yeah, it's nothing new, but it's my favorite Queen song (next to The Show Must Go On) and I'm glad it got its own episode.

But considering how low our expectations were set for these episodes, I'm pretty sure we'd be happy with anything even remotely new! xD

I was glad we got the NotW deluxe (it was my first album of theirs I got, so I love it, though I donât have the box itself â though I like the idea in theory!) but if we got a deluxe of Races I would buy that in a heartbeat. sighâŠ

They made specific reference in this âepisodeâsâ voiceover of Hyde Park being filmed and recorded to make sure it was captured, but then nothing more on any release plans, or that it was for Capital Radio broadcast.

All we can do is speculate. They've had a few surprises up their belt the last couple of years. Let's have a look at the last 10 years alone: 2010 - The Singles Collections 2011 - Remasters+Deep Cuts+40 Years of Queen+new docu 2012 - The Great Pretender docu
2012 - Hungarian Rhapsody 2012 - Queen + Adam Lambert tours 2013 - Icon 2014 - Queen Forever/Let Me In Your Heart Again 2014 - Live At The Rainbow box 2015 - A Night At The Odeon 2015 - Studio Collection vinyl boxset 2015 - Play The Game mobile game 2016 - On Air 2017 - NOTW Box/All Dead All Dead 2018 - Bohemian Rhapsody Movie+OST If i had this list around 2000, i would've been very excited. Am i alone? Let's wait and see, before we poopoo all over it in advance. What was 'Icon' in 2013?

I like how in the beginning of the newest episode, the footage of the Milton Keynes 1982 concert is shown in 4:3, but later, it's in 16:9.

Nice of Brian to record a little analysis. But yeah, the 4:3 being cropped down to 16:9 halfway through was pretty shocking Quality (particularly Brian's interview) wasn't exactly great either, this should be a professional level of quality seeing as someone has been paid to make it

I love how they skipped most of 1977 including Earl's Court They could go back to those shows like how they did Somebody To Love, then Hyde Park. Either that, or they're just not gonna cover the Races Tour at all

Here is this weekâs episode: youtu.be/184c_d9nE0sIt was really interesting to hear about the sampling in the guitar solo. I have to say since the Somebody To Love episode (not including the awful reversed thumbnail) this series has really turned itself around (no pun intended) in its quality, this is my favourite behind Hyde Park so far!

Not in terms of video quality though lol, but I have to agree there have been a few treats here and there, it's interesting to hear Brian's story of We Will Rock You in this more personal way (at home in front of a webcam instead of in some interview studio). That said though, did they really have to span this across 2 episodes? They could've just made a 10 minute video out of it... I guess they're running out of ideas for videos and have to get to 50 episodes somehow

I don't quite get it when he said the scratch bit. If he played the final phrases 3 times, the scratch will not be there. So is the scratch a noice produced by pasting 3 tapes together?

I didnât watch it so I have no context but isnât âscratchâ another term for âroughâ? So it was like a rough mix of the guitar?
If thatâs not the context Iâll humbly fuck offâŠ

The last phrase of the guitar solo is repeated by cutting out the tape and duplicate and paste three times as opposed to him playing it three separate times on the recording. Each phrase is connected by a scratch (as he described), in his words: "It's become I'm coming from the bottom up to the top to play that thing. So naturally if I'd been playing it, it wouldn't be there. It's a little secret if you like. So you're hearing the scratch of something that never happens between the three..." When I type it out I find it even more confusing.

Yes, as before the first phrase he slides up from the bottom of the guitar neck to the high frets, which made the scratch sound. As the last two phrases of the solo were repeated y cutting and pasting the tape, this scratch was retained and can be heard each time.

but it is not the "tape" scratch, it is the fingers sliding over the fretboard. Maybe they did loop the lick three times and taped it together, but the "scratch" we hear is the fingers sliding over the strings. I think guitarists will agree with this. I think what he meant to say by "it would not be there" is that he would not slide the hand all over to the top of the fretboard then go back down to play the same lick again, and do that 3 times. He did it once (played the lick, moved the hand to the top of the fretboard which makes thes cratch sound), then they looped it 3 times. It also fits in the groove, it is "in the rhythm" that's why it works. But you dont hear the "splice" oe editing, just the guitar sounds. That is my opinion at least
