What I would like is if they would go back and remaster all the promo videos (idk about necessarily for the 50th anniversary, but in general I would like this). For Bohemian Rhapsody, they remastered it and replaced the crappy looking Youtube vid on the official channel with the much nicer remastered version, so it would be nice if they would remaster all of them. We do have some nicer sources for some of them, but for some all we have are really low quality sources.

Posted this above 😅 how cool 50th anniversary live shows would be... sadly I'm pessimistic Speaking of 50th anniversary live shows... I've always wondered why they didn't do things by halves to celebrate NOTW's 40th anniversary specifically - a tour with a couple tracks off said album and Frank, a clear reference to the album cover, a boxset with exclusive content including Rock The World - but some of their albums, such as their debut and ADATR, didn't get anything special. I'm also surprised they didn't consider celebrating The Game's 40th anniversary this year... or did they? I doubt they'd have changed their setlist to something a little more deep cut-y, but who knows?

Holy crap. I really hope everything gets better for him soon, he's been through so much this year... don't give us more reasons to be worried about you, Doc!

That was a better interview than the one I linked to, and more in depth too. Lets hope Brian fully recovers soon.
Is there any chance you could just delete that thread with the same topic I started mate? Cheers

Quite honestly, I think next year's tour will not happen either. I cannot speak for other European countries but I keep hearing awful news from Portugal, France and Italy. The UK is bad too. Nobody's optimistic about the next few months in the continent. America is damned as well.
Spain is going to declare yet another nationwide emergency state tomorrow (new cases, ICU use and death figures are AWFUL), we expect it to last until late December / early January, surely with further restrictions for Carnival season, Easter and whatnot. I just returned to my office last week after 7 months and I see lots of people oblivious about their masks, removing it altogether when they are sitting (even with people around) and some people straight up not wearing it indoors. This is happening in a country where masks are mandatory and restrictions are piling up again - I need to carry a safe-conduct to go to work, I have been virtually unable to see my girlfriend and parents in the last three weeks and I can't take my daughter to the city like I used to. And it's not getting better soon, like at all.
We will not have an effective Covid cure within the next year or two I think, we don't even have a tried and true vaccine candidate in sight, let alone the chance to administer it to most people. I simply wouldn't feel safe in a packed place without extreme measures. Fuck theaters and live events, just give me digital content to enjoy at home.

Personally, I would prefer it if everything was cancelled for the next 12 to 18 months, just to end the uncertainty. It's not that I'm desperate for the money back, but it does feel like a little bit of a cloud hanging over us because I don't think I'd feel safe going to an arena gig, but equally I wouldn't want to not go if the gig was still on.

I’m hoping for a few nice releases. In 2011 I believe we had 5 releases! Correct me if I’m wrong but it was Wembley, Days Of Our Lives, Deep Cuts, Greatest Hits & 2011 Remasters.
I hope we can repeat the same thing when it comes to content. I defiantly think ‘The Miracle’ Boxset will be released in 2022. As for the 50th I do hope we get a singles vinyl Boxset with some 12” included also. Would be nice to finally get that ‘Live Killers’ Boxset or a Knebworth release. I do think we will get a Greatest Video Hits on Blu-ray/DVD fully restored. And this is just a personal grail for me that probably will never happen but a fully remixed remastered album similar to what they did for ‘Mr Bad Guy’ would just be amazing for me but done right from original multitracks

You'd think they might want to do something a little more special in honour of the one album that encountered such a huge success in the US... ..and particularly as, to quote Brian, 'At that moment we were the biggest band in the world'. Maybe there is a shortage of extra material that would warrant a special edition/box set, although Bri and Rog seem to have an aversion to revealing demos, out-takes, work-in-progress ala the Beatles' Pepper/White/Abbey Road Anniversary editions.

Phew I looked up Brian and Covid and luckily he is Covid free but he feels he may have had it back in January and feels it is a possible cause for his heart attack .

Ha ha if you read all the many Daily Express articles you will see they aren’t really an exclusive interview with Brian rather them using poor journalism by taking quotes etc from other sources . The One Show and his IG as examples. I’m guessing you already know this by your comments lol .

Yes, the Daily Express and the term 'Professional Journalism' don't always go hand in hand. 😁 But it's still interesting to read his comments. I could listen to Brian talk all day, as long as it's not about badgers. I promise I won't post any of his interviews with badgers. 🦡 😄

Obviously I hope they DO get out to play to full arenas next year, but if not then I hope that they make up for it with it with some interesting, exciting and novel archive releases instead (or as well).

It's very difficult to not be sarcastic in these kind of topics.. Personally I do not think that much will be done apart from the suggested live shows. The Miracle box set will probably be released next year, but that is not necessarily related to a 50th anniversary.
My wish would be an über anthology box set, containing out-takes, new songs, demos, instrumental versions and every album in 5.1. Or maybe multiple sets, covering a certain nbr of years like they did with the Deep Cuts releases. Just so every set can be filled with more stuff and will not be too expensive in the end.

It would be awesome if Queen would release something as extensive as this for one time: www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/king-crimson-1969-box-set/They sure do have a lot of material or options for it: - Queen in Japan boxset - Queen in South America boxset - 50th Anniversary boxset - A Night at the Opera boxset - Etc. If pricing is in range of that King Crimson boxset, then that's also reasonable.

I honestly would just love 5.1 surround albums if they ever did that. ANATO & The Game sound amazing! And the 5.1 tracks from the greatest hits dvd’s

The price for the King Crimson sets is waaay beyond reasonable - for what you get, it's dirt cheap! If Queen were to release a box set this big, with that kind of content, for that price, I think a large number of Queen fans would need to be resuscitated, myself included. Hell, it'd stop me from complaining for *years*!

That King Crimson boxset is killer!!! well, many of their recent boxset are! I also check Super Deluxe Edition daily and can´t help thinking "what if Queen did the same?" every time any cool boxset is announced there (King Crimson, Prince, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Elton John and many many other examples, I love that website). And, every time, I always end up with the same conclusion: A. As long as Brian & Roger are in control, we will never get any closer B. If they prove me wrong, our wallets will burn as they will throw whatever they release at an indecent amount of money
