Must admit, although I never actually had anything on display, I used to love other people knowing I had something 'rare'. I used to do a lot of compilation tapes and enjoyed slipping the odd thing in that I knew other people wouldn't have, and watching the reaction. One I remember best was when I first got a Stereo HiFi VCR and managed to record what was then Queen: We Will Rock You onto a C90 cassette tape. I put Somebody To Love and CLTCL onto a party tape, and people were saying "Where did you get a live version of these?", which I found quite smugly pleasing. 😄 |

I just like the fact that every cass has a different picture of a band member. And that compels (kind of) me to put them on display, even when it is just for me. I doubt I will remove them from the seal, so instead of putting them away, I at least can still look at them when they are on display so I still get *something* from the money I spent
But back in my collecting hey days I was also putting a lot of stuff on display. Even today I have a few items standing here and there or framed for various reasons (ie just to show off in case it is a rare one or because I like the artwork).

Seems to be out for delivery now to a nbr of people. Some have received the bundle today as well. Though there has been no shipping notification through email.

It looks like it has to settle at number 2 in the UK album charts.
Good. Being a fan I would have been pleased to see it return to the summit but the fact that it’s the same bloody album from 40 years ago with NO extras plus all the extra stuff over the last few years (eg - the announced and then abandoned The Miracle boxset) just makes me jaded when fans of other artists are treated much better then we have been!

I know it's boring but what I reckon would've got more sales is by doing a deluxe edition featuring a bonus disc of songs from the same time period, that way you include all the singles and bigger album tracks.

I like this idea, although I certainly don't have a 'Queen house' myself, or even a Queen room or corner. I can take and post a few pics of my most prized Queen items though.

Over the past four years of marriage, I've managed to sneak my Queen stuff around the house (after she told me not to). I've got stuff in the living room, hallways, bathroom, office, bedroom, guest bedroom, etc. I've taken over! We're moving shortly and I sense I'll have to keep everything contained in the basement. But that's what she thinks! |
